Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, has announced today the cast and creative team of the world premiere production of the new musical The Sting, based on the 1973 film, and with book by Bob Martin, music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann & Greg Kotis with Harry Connick, Jr.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for James Macdonald's new revival of William Congreve's Restoration comedy masterpiece The Way of The World. Berkeley Repertory Theatre presents Watch on the Rhine, Lillian Hellman's 1940s political thriller about loyalty, family, and sacrifice. The play, directed by Berkeley Rep's associate director Lisa Peterson, begins previews on Thursday, November 30, 2017 and runs through Sunday, January 14, 2018. This year's Tony Award nominations feature a rarity: a Best Play category comprised of as many women as men. Surrounding Paul Vogel's INDECENT and Lynn Nottage's SWEAT, however, is a profusion of male-written work; of the Best Musical nominees, only one so much as includes a woman on its writing team (Irene Sankoff, COME FROM AWAY).

Set for Easter Sunday (April 1, 2018), NBC will bring to broadcast television “Jesus Christ Superstar Live!,” a one-of-a-kind live staging of the iconic 1971 Broadway rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the world premiere production of Roe written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Bill Rauch. Roe is a co-production with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Arena Stage.

The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) will present a limited engagement of the Tony Award-winner Raisin this spring. The musical, which won the Best Musical Tony Award in 1973,  will return to New York City after a 42-year hiatus from May 4 to May 27, 2017 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 30-44 Crescent St (at 30th Road), Astoria, NY 11102. 

Record-breaking, six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will return to New Orleans for Broadway @ NOCCA on March 31, 2017 as a benefit for the The NOCCA Institute.
