With the full programme still to be announced, further highlights revealed today include a brand new production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest directed by Artistic Director of Norfolk & Norwich Festival William Galinsky at the Great Yarmouth Hippodrome - Britain's only surviving purpose circus building erected in 1903 and Wild Life, an extraordinary collaboration between CAMPO's Artistic Collaborator Pol Heyvaert and young singer-songwriters from across Norfolk. Wild Life developed organically from the lives of the performers, and focuses on the songs they have written and what science tells us about how teenagers' brains work. The Festival have also announced Fierce Light, the world premiere event and exhibition from 14-18 NOW bringing together poets of international standing with contemporary film makers and visual artists to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War, Chris Thorpe's acclaimed plays Confirmation and Am I Dead Yet? about political extremism and what happens when we die respectively, an evening of French song and poetry with the powerful and unconventional ensemble troupe, I Fagiolini, a one-night only performance by the sensational singer-songwriter and political activist Billy Bragg and the English indie band Tindersticks.

The Kennedy Center hosts its 14th annual Page-to-Stage new play festival from Today, September 5 to Monday, September 7, 2015, featuring more than 50 theaters from the D.C. metropolitan area, all with a mission to produce and support new work. The 14th Annual Page-to-Stage event showcases more than 40 new plays by female playwrights and includes nine works that are part of the citywide Women's Voices Theater Festival, which officially begins on September 8.

San Francisco, CA (June 25, 2015) – The 100th anniversary of the premiere of Rachmaninoff's All-Night Vigil (Vespers) will be celebrated with three performances of the choral work by Bay Area Russian choral ensemble Slavyanka tonight, August 21 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Palo Alto, Saturday, August 22 at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, and Sunday, August 23 at First Congregational Church in Berkeley. Russian conductor and Slavyanka Artistic Director Irina Shachneva, an authority on Russian choral music, will lead the concerts. 

MCC THEATER has announced the 2015 PlayLabs reading series, which will feature new works in development by playwrights MCC Playwright in Residence Neil LaBute, MCC Theater Youth Company alum Ren Dara Santiago, and rising playwright Stephen Brown.  Readings will be held on September 21st, September 28th, and October 5th, as shown below, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street).  All readings are at 7pm.  Full casting will be announced at a later date.  Tickets on-sale now are $15, which include the post-reading reception.  For tickets and more info, please visit www.mcctheater.org.
