The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Bright Star, a new American musical featuring music by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin, lyrics by Brickell, and book by Martin, based on an original story by Martin and Brickell. Directed by Walter Bobbie, Bright Star will run September 13 - November 2, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run September 13 - September 27. Opening night is Sunday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. Single tickets go on sale on Friday, August 8 at noon.

With an irresistible Latin-infused score by Tony Award-nominated David Yazbek and book by Jeffrey Lane (the team behind past Theatre at the Center hit DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS) WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN is a touching and hilarious story of a group of women whose relationships with men lead to a whirlwind of emotions- love as they find them, confusion as they lose them and passion when they need them. This regional premiere is directed by William Pullinsi with Choreography by Danny Herman and Musical Direction and Orchestrations by William Underwood.

Sundance Institute announced today the members of the six juries awarding prizes at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, January 16-26 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. Short Film Awards will be announced at a ceremony on January 21 at Park City's Jupiter Bowl. Feature film awards will be announced at a separate ceremony on January 25 in Park City, hosted by husband-and-wife duo Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally and livestreamed at www.sundance.org/live. Offerman headlines the film Nick Offerman: American Ham in the Festival's Premieres section. Mullally voices a character in the English-language version of Ernest and Celestine, which will have its world premiere in the Festival's new Sundance Kids section.

Today 10th November 2013 Scottish star Bill Patterson opens the first exhibition celebrating the alterNative Theatre movement of the sixties, seventies and eighties opens at Ovalhouse. The exhibition runs until 20th December before moving to Camden Local History Library and Archives, High Holborn in early 2014. Before becoming a familiar face on stage, film and television, Bill Patterson was a founding member of John McGrath's 7:84 company whose 1970s work The Cheviot, The Stag and The Black Black Oil had a profound effect on post-war British Theatre.

Dan and Nancy Levinson hosted the Suters' at the end of their Iditarod campaigns. Dan Levinson loved to tell stories but this was the only one he ever wrote down.

Adams recently appeared in Oliver! at Drury Lane, Off-Broadway in the The Hunchback Variations, and was in the Broadway production and National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. He was seen at Theatre at the Center as 'Julian Marsh' in 42nd Street, 'Captain Von Trapp' in the Sound of Music, 'George' in La Cage aux Folles, 'Pilot' in Jesus Christ Superstar and in the title role in Maury Yeston's Phantom.
