Haven Theatre is pleased to announce the final production slated for its 2017-18 Season, Bertolt Brecht's unsettling and unflinching drama FEAR AND MISERY OF THE THIRD REICH, translated by Eric Bentley and directed by Artistic Director Josh Sobel, playing February 8 March 11, 2018. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Choral music that explores the dual themes of death and celebration comprise a spirited program for the Los Angeles Master Chorale's first-ever D a de los Muertos concert on Sunday, October 29 at 7 PM in Walt Disney Concert Hall. A performance by Early Music New York (EM/NY) is an aural depiction of a time and place seemingly far removed from the present day, though arguably as near as the mind's ear.

Last summer, a group form the Ohio Humanities Council visited Piqua to consider it as one of their Ohio Chautauqua sites for 2017.  Unfortunately, they were not selected, but they did encourage the group to develop their own Chautauqua event.  Well, give folks from Piqua a challenge and they deliver.  So a dedicated committee officially began working on Piqua Chautauqua! The dates for this event will be September 19, 20 & 21, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and will take place at Hance Pavilion, located in Fountain Park in Piqua.

CSO Music Director Rossen Milanov will lead the Columbus Symphony in a performance of two of the world's most iconic symphonic landscapes-Respighi's The Pines of Rome and Strauss' An Alpine Symphony.

The new Broadway musical Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will launch a digital lottery on Friday, August 11, 2017, making a limited number of $40 tickets available for all performances.

The era of silent film comes alive again at Centenary Stage Company with The Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra today, August 5 at 8pm in the Lackland Performing Arts Center as the 2017 Summer Jamfest continues.  Based in Annapolis, MD, The Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra has been hailed as 'the premier American ragtime ensemble' by The Washington Post and is rapidly becoming the leading professional ragtime orchestra in the United States.

In one momentous year, as infrastructure crumbles, fires rage, and war looms, young engineer George Barnett arrives in the territory of Alaska with "guts and genius," not expecting to fall in love or carry the safety of the miners and the town on his shoulders. Treadwell Gold is written by Rachel Atkins and inspired by the book of historical nonfiction by Sheila Kelly. The play is based on real people and events. Treadwell Gold takes us to a time when science and engineering were looked to with faith that progress was always an option and engineering could always make our lives better. Treadwell Gold runs in limited engagement at Perseverance Theatre, June 22 - July 3.
