Opening night of THE SPITFIRE GRILL was a special evening for the Beck Center for the Arts. It was the start of the organization's 82nd season and Scott Spence's 25th anniversary as Artistic Director.

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production begins tonight, September 16, with an opening slated for September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

The 89th Annual Feast of San Gennaro, New York City's longest-running, biggest and most revered religious outdoor festival, will take place Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 20, 2015, on the streets of historic Little Italy, the lower Manhattan neighborhood which served as the first home in America for hundreds of thousands of Italian immigrants seeking a better life in the early 20th century.

Renowned puppet and mask maker Ralph Lee will present his Mettawee River Theatre Company in 'OUT OF THE PAST: Celebrating 40 Years of the Mettawee Journey,' a feast of excerpts from four decades of Mettawee productions, this weekend, September 11, 12 & 13 at 7:30 PM in the lovely Outdoor Garden at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 111th Street & Amsterdam.

Final casting is today announced for the World Premiere of Pure Imagination, which celebrates the songs of Leslie Bricusse, one of the most prolific and well loved film and musical theatre songwriters of our time.

Among them, the company can claim 18 Tony Awards, 4 Pulitzer Prizes, 6 Pulitzer finalist distinctions, 3 Emmy Awards, and 2 Academy Awards; to list all their honors would take several pages.

Starting September 2nd, The Seacoast Repertory Theatre will be beginning a new collaboration with Cuzin Richard Entertainment. The Rep will be putting on four new events throughout the month of September including: The Boston Comedy Festival, mind reader and sword swallower Roderick Russell, Spanish guitarist Jose Lezcano, and Dan Butterworth and his Marionettes.

Berkeley Rep has announced the full company for its 2015-16 season opener Amelie, A New Musical, starring award-winning actress Samantha Barks.

The 69th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 7th at 8/9c hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming. (WASHINGTON)-Washington National Opera (WNO) celebrates its seventh season of free opera simulcasts at Nationals Park with title sponsor Mars Chocolate North America for the M&M'S® Opera in the Outfield performance of Rossini's charming romantic comedy Cinderella today, May 16, 2015. This dazzling production has been acclaimed worldwide for its witty characterizations, rainbow-bright sets and costumes, and easy-to-follow English translation, making it a perfect opera for the entire family.
