From 9 a.m.-noon, the 86th annual MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE averaged a 12.1 rating, 26 share in households in the 56 local markets metered by Nielsen Media Research, finishing within 2% of last year's 12.3/26. 'Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade' topped the metered-market household rating of every primetime entertainment telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW of the past week.

Broadway stars Emily Padgett and Matthew Hydzik will star as "Alex" and "Nick" in the world premiere of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation. Padgett and Hydzik will be joined on stage by the legendary Rachelle Rak in the role of "Tess." Sergio Trujillo, director and choreographer for the production returned to the home of FLASHDANCE and launch of the world premiere, Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall, to announce the lead casting from a press conference. Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Kevin McMahon, CEO of Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, were also on hand to welcome the cast and creative team to Pittsburgh and to make a proclamation, naming January 1, 2013 as FLASHDANCE DAY. The 6pm tribute will take place at The Triad Theatre, which is located at 158 West 72nd Street. Palillo died in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., on August, 14, 2012, of a heart attack. Broadway's Tyne Daly, a longtime friend, will host the event.

TMZ reports that WELCOME BACK, KOTTER star Ron Palillo died this morning at his home in Palm Beach, FL from an apparent heart attack. The news was revealed by a source close to the actor. The 63-year-old had recently been suffering from a bad cough.

Lindemann, Ph.D. became the first opera company trustee in the organization's entire 42-year history to be elected Chairman of its Board of Directors.
