Big Dance Week 2016, running from 2 to 10 July 2016, will be launched with a mass dance performance by hundreds of dancers in Trafalgar Square choreographed by Akram Khan on Saturday 2 July. This year's event is the final Big Dance, and celebrates a decade of festivals.

The Watermill Theatre today announced the full company for its summer production of Gershwins' Crazy For You opening on 28 July until 17 September. West End leading lady Caroline Sheen makes her Watermill debut as Polly and joins previously announced Tom Chambers, who plays Bobby.

The cast has been announced for the European premiere of heart-warming chamber musical THE BURNT PART BOYS at Park Theatre, which runs from 10 August to 3 September. This is the first musical to be staged in PARK90, and British director Matthew Illife directs a brand new cast in this premiere. Press Night is Thursday 11 August, 7pm.

HAMILTON, the Broadway musical, which won 11 Tony Awards last night including best musical, will have its London premiere in October 2017. The critically acclaimed musical has broken box office records on Broadway and has become a cultural sensation. HAMILTON will reopen the Victoria Palace Theatre, which is currently undergoing an extensive multi-million pound refurbishment. Although the solstice doesn't officially appear for another week or so, the summer opera clock is already ticking. There's a plethora of performances going on all over New York City, in addition to interesting, entertaining and fascinating productions that are just a hop, skip and jump away. Among them: Lincoln Center's Lincoln Center Festival and Mostly Mozart and On Site Opera's West Village venue, to the more bucolic realms of Bard SummerScape in Dutchess County (NY) for Mascagni and Caramoor in Katonah (NY) for Rossini and Beethoven.

Robert Mackintosh and Idili Theatricals Limited, in association with Theatr Clwyd and Wales Millennium Centre, are presenting the 20thAnniversary production of Jonathan Larson's ground-breaking Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning musical RENT.  After opening at Theatr Clwyd for a limited season from 21 October to 12 November 2016, RENT will go on a three-week tour, prior to a Christmas Season at St. James Theatre, London from 8 December 2016 to 28 January 2017, with a national press night on Tuesday 13 December 2016.  2017 tour dates are to be announced.  The new production will be directed by Bruce Guthrie.  

The world premiere of GROUNDHOG DAY has been delayed because of the 'technical requirements' involved in the production.  Previews are now postponed until 15 July with an opening night of 16 August.

KEEP DANCING is a brand new dance show celebrating the ever popular world of Ballroom and Latin dance and is set to wow the UK on a major tour from August 2016.

Winner of the Best Theatre award at Adelaide Fringe 2015, and the Underbelly Adelaide Award 2015, this is the London premiere of CUT - an edge-of-your-seat thriller, written by award-winning Australian playwright Duncan Graham and performed by Hannah Norris.

Full casting is today announced for the world premiere of the new musical GROUNDHOG DAY, which previews at the Old Vic from July 11 with a press night on August 16. The Madison Square Garden Company (MSG) announced today that three-time Emmy Award-winner Mia Michaels will serve as director and choreographer of the New York Spectacular Starring The Radio City Rockettes, presented by Chase. Michaels will be joined by Drama Desk Award-winner Douglas Carter Beane as the show's writer, Alain Lortie as lighting designer, and multi-media and entertainment studio, Moment Factory, as video designer.
