The Picture Show at Bay Street Theatre has announced announce that Peconic Landing is sponsoring its long-running, classic Picture Show Series for the 2013 Season.

The Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center will present the 22nd annual New York Jewish Film Festival at the Film Society's Walter Reade Theater, Jan. 9-24, 2013. The festival's 45 features and shorts from 9 countries - 23 screening in their world, U.S. or New York premieres - provide a diverse global perspective on the Jewish experience. Many film screenings will be followed by filmmakers and special guests in onstage discussions.

At a press conference held at Barrington Stage Company's St. Germain Stage, Artistic Director Julianne Boyd announced the 2013 season of musicals and plays that will take place in downtown Pittsfield in the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage and St. Germain Stage (formerly Stage 2) venues in 2013. The Line-Up has been announced for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival which will be held in Utah this January. The event marks the Festival's 29th year. This year, 113 feature-length films representing 32 countries will be presented.

Stoneham Theatre is opening season 13 with a statement of who they are. Stoneham Theatre…suburban theatre with a twist. "In the past, we haven't really featured the fact that we are in the suburbs," Artistic Director Weylin Symes shared, "because it has seemed to cause confusion. I think for some reason people don't expect the level of professionalism or they expect to see different programming. But we are proud of our community and the work that we do here. Despite the best efforts of some of Nashville's finest and most promising young actresses, who do their best with such a disappointing script, they can't bring the show to life. The play's characters-who represent some of the 1,800-plus real women who entered training in 1943 to become Womens Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) a paramilitary organization designed to allow women to provide support for the male pilots of the Army Air Forces-represent a cross-section of American women who wanted to aid the war effort in the best possible way.

The autobiographical memory play of Williams' life has been cast entirely with Cygnet Resident Artists - Rosina Reynolds, Francis Gercke, Amanda Sitton and Brian Mackey. Sean Murray directs. Previews begin October 19th, 2011, and the Press Opening is October 22nd, 2011.
