The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church presents 'Faith & Culture,' a ministry to inaugurate its first major programming endeavor this fall: a music-based lecture series titled Tastemakers & Pioneers curated by Marina Harrison. Serving to introduce the community to many creative disciplines of the humanities, 'Faith & Culture' focuses on music, literature, history, film and theatre, and fine art. Several prominent individuals in the music community, considered innovators and highly-regarded experts, have committed to be a part of this season. All lectures will take place at 7pm and attendees are invited to special Meet-and-Greet Receptions with the artists afterwards.

Cellist Inbal Segev, known for her “warm, pure and beautiful” tone (Strings Magazine), will perform with pianistMirian Conti, violinist Benjamin Breen, and violist Dov Scheindlin in a Rush Hour chamber music concert presented by the Hudson Chamber Society (of which Breen is the Artistic Director) on Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00pm at the Yamaha Piano Salon (689 Fifth Avenue, NYC). The program will include Mozart's Piano Quartet in G minor and a performance of Piazzolla's The Grand Tango for cello and piano by Segev and Conti.

From tonight, September 5-15, 2013, Houston Ballet launches its 44th season with a mixed repertory program of premieres by emerging and established choreographers. Famed choreographer James Kudelka will create a new work for the company. British master and Houston Ballet's associate choreographer Christopher Bruce's Intimate Pages will have its Houston Ballet premiere. World premieres by Garrett Smith and Melissa Hough round out the program.

Following a sold-out, critically-acclaimed and award-winning run as part of the 17th Annual New York International Fringe Festival/FringeNYC, PENINSULA, a world-premiere play by Nathan Wright, directed by Nadia Foskolou, has been selected for the 9th Annual FringeNYC Encore Series (9/6 - 10/20). The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the lineup for this year's edition of Latinbeat, today, July 12-21. Opening Night launches with LA PAZ by prolific Argentinian filmmaker, Santiago Loza, who has showcased his work at the festival since 2000, and is also an influential playwright in the indie theater scene of Buenos Aires. This year's lineup also includes the previously announced retrospective of filmmaker, Matias Piñeiro, who will screen his films THE STOLEN MAN and THEY ALL LIE during the festival while simultaneously theatrically opening VIOLA and ROSALINDA at the Film Society of Lincoln Center tonight, July 12th.
