The following acts are performing at City Winery Chicago (1200 W. Randolph St) throughout the month of March.

Asolo Rep will host Inside Asolo Rep: BORN YESTERDAY and THE LITTLE FOXES on Thursday, February 23 at 11am, with refreshments at 10am. This special behind-the-scenes panel will spotlight Asolo Rep's productions of Garson Kanin's classic American comedy BORN YESTERDAY (February 8 - April 15) and Lillian Hellman's gripping drama THE LITTLE FOXES  (March 15 - April 15).  The panel will feature BORN YESTERDAY director Peter Amster, THE LITTLE FOXES director and two-time Tony® winner Frank Galati, Tracy Michelle Arnold (Regina Giddens, THE LITTLE FOXES), and Christina DeCicco (Billie Dawn, BORN YESTERDAY). This insightful discussion will be helmed by Asolo Rep Dramaturg and Casting Associate Lauryn E. Sasso.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic on the EUROPE / SPRING 2017 tour, March 23-April 7, 2017. The two-week tour - Alan Gilbert's ninth and final international tour as Music Director, the seventh with him to Europe - will feature fourteen concerts in seven countries.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the explosive Pulitzer Prize winner Topdog/Underdog by Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Tony, Grammy, and Drama Desk Award winner Billy Porter (The Colored Museum at the Huntington and Lola in Kinky Boots on Broadway). Performances run March 10 - April 9, 2017 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.

Just last month, a music workshop was held in NYC. '[It] was absolutely thrilling.' Flaherty told BroadwayWorld. 'In collaboration with director Michael Arden, vocal designer Ann Marie Milazzo and orchestrator Michael Starobin, we explored many exciting new musical concepts for the piece. Spectrum Theatre Company is pleased to bring you ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, playing OCTOBER 20TH - 30th on stage at The Boyd Vance Theater at the George Washington Carver Museum. Once on This Island is a one-act musical with a book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty. Based on the 1985 novel My Love, My Love; or, The Peasant Girl by Rosa Guy, it is set in the French Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean Sea. The show includes elements of the Romeo and Juliet story and elements of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale The Little Mermaid. It concerns a peasant girl on a tropical island, who uses the power of love to bring together people of different social classes. The original Broadway production ran from 1990 to 1991, and the West End production opened in 1994, where it won the 1995 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

Villanova Theatre welcomes back renowned Philadelphia theatre artist James Ijames to direct Jose Rivera'sMarisol. This fierce fantasia set in post-apocalyptic New York is a surreal and timely piece that has been dubbed an 'anti-apathy' play.In our modern world of political upheaval and existential doubt, Marisol inspires audiences to wake up and change the world around them, running November 8-20 at Villanova Theatre.

Producer Ken Davenport announced today he is bringing a new production of the Olivier Award-winning, Tony-Nominated musical, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, to Broadway.

Rhonda LaChanze Sapp, better known by her stage name LaChanze (Creole: the charmed one), taken from her grandmother, was born in St Augustine, Florida. Grew up in Connecticut, her parents nurtured her love for performing by enrolling her in high schools for the performing arts. After high school, LaChanze studied Drama at Morgan State University, before transferring to the University of the Arts, she studied Theatre and Dance. Her first Summer job was as a tap dancer in the ensemble of out of town tryout of 'Uptown...It's Hot!.' She made her Broadway debut in the same show in 1986.

The Public Theater will kick off the 2016-17 season in September with a free Public Works musical adaptation of TWELFTH NIGHT, conceived by Kwame Kwei-Armah and Shaina Taub, with music and lyrics by Shaina Taub. Directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, TWELFTH NIGHT will once again feature over 200 actors and community members alongside five equity actors, including this year Nikki M. James as Viola and Jose Llana as Orsino.
