The bookless show uses Joel's song lyrics and Tharp's choreography to tell the story of five friends and lovers across three decades through love, war and loss. There is no dialogue and all songs are performed by the pianist-singer, who sings non-stop and heads an on-stage band during the show.

New TV Show to Find New 'Lady' for West End Spamalot

The West End production of Monty Python's Spamalot will lead an international search for its next Lady of the Lake with new TV entertainment show 'West End Story' hosted by Swedish broadcaster TV3 in late Autumn 2007.

Movin' Out has been nominated for several awards. It was nominated for Outstanding Broadway Musical and Outstanding Choreography at the Outer Critics Circle Awards. Twyla Tharp, the choreographer, was also nominated for Outstanding Choreography at the Drama Desk Awards. John Selya received a Performance award at the Theatre World Awards. Additionally, Twyla Tharp was nominated for Outstanding Director - Musical, Donald Holder for Outstanding Lighting Design, and Movin' Out for Outstanding Musical at the Drama Desk Awards.
Movin' Out has won several awards, including Outstanding Broadway Musical and Outstanding Choreography from the Outer Critics Circle Awards.
