On Saturday May 30th 2009 Tony Winner Sara Ramirez star of ' Grey's Anatomy' and 'Spamalot' and Emmy Winner Carson Kressley host of 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' and 'How to Look Good Naked' will be hosting the first benefit gala event for the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation. The event will take place at The Brandon Fradd Theatre at Whyte Hall in Fire Island Pines, Long Island, NY starting at 6PM. The cast has been announced for the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre engagement of 'Monty Python's Spamalot,' which will open Center Theatre Group's 2009-2010 season at the Ahmanson Theatre of the Los Angeles Music Center, July 7 through September 6, 2009.

Country music star, CMA Winner, ACM Winner and four-time Grammy Nominee Joe Nichols has been offered the role made famous by George Strait in the Broadway production of the hit movie, Pure Country. According to producer Randall L. Wreghitt, the musical is in the process of securing the remainder of its financing and casting, and plans to open in early 2010.

The Menier Chocolate Factory's sell out production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's A Little Night Music is to transfer to the West End for a strictly limited run. Trevor Nunn's critically acclaimed production will transfer to the Garrick Theatre from 28 March, with press night on Tuesday 7 April and is booking until 25 July 2009. A Little Night Music is produced in the West End by David Babani for Chocolate Factory Productions, Andrew Fell and Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer for Nimax Theatres.

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2005, Monty Python's SPAMALOT, will return to Denver's Buell Theater for a limited one-week engagement May 13-17 starring John O'Hurley as King Arthur. Tickets go on sale Sunday, March 29 at 10am.

On Broadway he also originated the role of Radames in the hit musical Aida and starred as the Emcee in the long-running revival of Cabaret. His film credits include Rent, School of Rock, SLC Punk!, Temptation and Goyband. An actor since the age of six, Anthony Rapp has appeared on Broadway in Precious Sons (Outer Critics Circle Award), Six Degrees of Separation, and the revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Minsky's is the second new musical playing the Ahmanson this season, boasting a book by Bob Martin and direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw, who both crafted the U.S. premiere of the musical The Drowsy Chaperone at the Ahmanson in 2005. Composer Charles Strouse (Bye Bye Birdie, Annie) will join lyricist Susan Birkenhead (Triumph of Love) on the musical, which begins performances January 21 through March 1, 2009.
