South Staffs Operatic Company will return to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre this autumn with Monty Python's hit musical SPAMALOT from Tue 10 - Sat 14 October 2017. Monty Python's Spamalot, lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, is a kind-of new musical with a book by Eric Idle and an entirely new score for the new production, (well, almost) created by Eric Idle and John Du Prez.
Geva Theatre Center closes the 2016-2017 ESL Wilson Stage Season with Million Dollar Quartet with book by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott, based on an original concept by Floyd Mutrux and inspired by the music of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. Million Dollar Quartet is directed by Hunter Foster and will be performed in the Elaine P. Wilson Stage from May 30 to June 25.

Pulitzer Prize-winner Lawrence Wright premieres his new play at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. It is a fictional play about the last days of legendary journalist Oriana Fallaci. Don't miss this sizzling new script, which is directed by Oskar Eustis, stars Concetta Tomei and Marjan Neshat, and features an incredible team of designers. The 65th world premiere presented by Berkeley Rep, Fallaci is currently in previews in the Roda Theatre and opens March 13, running through April 21. Before the holidays, Broadway's ELF THE MUSICAL made one lucky winner's holiday wish come true with a walk-on role in the musical. Last night, the contest winner, Melissa Marengo, joined Buddy the Elf and the rest of the cast, including two-time Tony winner Beth Leavel and Wayne Knight of Seinfeld, on stage during the Macy's Santa Scene. Last night, Monday, May 10, The New Group opened their latest production of The Kid. This marks the final production in The New Group's current 2009-2010 season, which featured Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger and most recently, the hit revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Ethan Hawke. The Kid plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement through May 29 at The New Group @ Theatre Row. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night after party arrivals.
