State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara, Rodney Gustafson, Artistic Director and Producer will present the Los Angeles Premiere of an original full-length ballet, 'AN AMERICAN TANGO - VELOZ AND YOLANDA,' based on the true life story of Frank and Yolanda Veloz, considered one of the greatest ballroom dance couples of all time.

Howard Hawks, the quintessential Hollywood director known for his mastery of many genres, will be the subject of a complete retrospective at Museum of the Moving Image from today, September 7 through November 10, 2013. The Museum will present 39 features. All of the films will be shown in 35mm-many in stunning restorations-except for Red Line 7000, which will be shown in 16mm.

Freud's Last Session will run from Wednesday, September 18 to Saturday, October 19 at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse located on the corner of Lafayette and Bank Streets in downtown Cape May. Performances are at 8 p.m. and occur Tuesdays through Sundays. Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 seniors (62+) and $15 students. A half-price preview performance will take place Wednesday, September 18 followed by the official opening night Thursday, September 19. Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino has announced the 2014 season, in which, through the prism of a dozen plays, the Stratford Festival will explore the theme of Madness: Minds Pushed to the Edge.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has announced the 2013 holiday show as Meet Me in St. Louis: A Live Radio Play, set in a similar fashion as last year's Bucks County holiday show It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. Performances run from Wednesday, December 4th through Sunday, December 29th at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street in New Hope, PA). The cast will be announced shortly.

The New York City Department of Parks & Recreation has announced Living in Sequence, an exhibition of comic book artwork on view at the Poe Park Visitor Center in the Bronx. The exhibition was organized by the Bronx Heroes and will be on view February 5 - March 8, 2013.

Charles Smith, author of THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JAMES, which is now getting its Ohio Premiere at Ensemble Theatre, is an award-winning writer, and playwright-in-residence for the Indiana Repertory Theatre. He is also head of the Professional playwriting program at Ohio University.
