The Public Theater announced today that three final performances have been added to the critically acclaimed New York premiere of Latin History for Morons, created and performed by John Leguizamo. The Minnesota Orchestra announces plans today for Sommerfest 2017, unveiling a celebratory summer festival in which the Orchestra salutes two of its artistic leaders: Doc Severinsen on his 90th birthday, and Sommerfest Artistic Director Andrew Litton, who has announced that this summer will mark his final season as the head of the festival. Running from July 3 to August 5, Minnesota Orchestra's summer season includes two tribute concerts to Pops Conductor Laureate Severinsen; performances by Litton and his friends André Watts, William Wolfram and New York City Ballet dancers; and culminates with the opera Litton has long wanted to conduct in Minnesota, Strauss' Salome. The summer season also involves the annual Symphony for the Cities concerts, two previously announced regular season programs and the return of the Minnesota Orchestra Fantasy Camp.

Broadway In Chicago has announced Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Euan Morton will play the role of Hedwig, and Hannah Corneau will play Yitzhak in the National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival. Hedwig and the Angry Inch will play Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) March 7-19, 2017.

Choreographer and Artistic Director Paras Terezakis will explore the realms of paradise and enlightenment with the world premiere of his experimental work In PENUMBRA, March 1-4, 2017 at the Scotiabank Dance Centre - as part of 2017 Vancouver International Dance Festival. A co-presentation with The Dance Centre, In PENUMBRA will mark the milestone 30th anniversary of Kinesis Dance somatheatro, while celebrating Terezakis as a major force for creativity in Vancouver's arts scene.
