GAYFEST NYC, Inc., the country's premier producer of new LGBT-themed plays, continues the Fifth Festival of Plays, a four-week event filled with powerful theatre works spotlighting gay issues with The BASiC Theatre Project production of Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde written by Moises Kaufman. Directed by Zi Alikhan, cast features Drew Feldman, Benjamin Fisher, Joshua Forcum, Michael Greehan, Anthony Jackson, Charlie Kolarich, Michael Lorz, Russell Peck, Jonathan Sokolow and Carl Wilson.

'Mr Wilde, why are you here?' That is the question posed by a woman who had the most crucial 'power' of the one of the most celebrated men of all time.

Taiwanese-based independent record label Wind Music has released the new album Elegant Pipa Classics, featuring internationally renowned pipa player, Wu Man. The album, which is available on iTunes and the website CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com/cd/wuman), is comprised of a total of six tracks each featuring both ancient traditional Eastern tunes and modern works inspired by those ancient melodies. Joining Wu Man on the album are Taiwanese instrumentalists Li Kong-yuan on guqin, Huang Jheng-ming on erhu, and Xu Man-xuan on guzheng.

It's rare for a play, especially a social satire, to endure for over a century. Times change and what was once topical and funny often loses its punch. This opening statement from the introduction to The Potentate of Walking Horse alerts the reader that a fun-loving, laugh-out-loud, maybe a little dark but always entertaining, journey through the Old West is about to begin. This story, set in the 1880s and '90s, is narrated by Rufus T. Breckenridge III on his 100th birthday. Charging straight ahead from one adventure to another (sometimes under the guidance and protection of an unknown power) this tongue-in-cheek account of how the West was really won will have the reader turning pages faster than a bottom-of-the-deck draw in a crooked poker game.

Following a hugely acclaimed and record-breaking sell out run at Hampstead Theatre, Neil Armfield's production of David Hare's The Judas Kiss just transferred to the West End. The cast features Rupert Everett and Freddie Fox in the lead roles of Oscar Wilde and Lord AlFred Douglas, performances which won them universal acclaim, they are joined by Cal Macaninch in the role of Robert Ross. The cast also includes Ben Hardy, Kirsty Oswald, Alister Cameron and Tom Colley.

The Break-Away Project hosted their 'one-night-only' Halloween Spectacle on Friday, October 26th, 2012 in the Crypt of Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin. The sold out event was attended by more than 100 guests, who were greeted by zombies and vampires, including Dracula's Bride and Frankenstein's Monster, upon entering the Crypt. They also enjoyed a wine reception during the show's interval. The theatre company performed 'Dr. Seward's Dracula' by Michigan based playwright Joseph Zettelmaier.
