The Philly POPS launches its 36th season with the sound of the 70's, highlighting the electrifying music of ABBA, known worldwide through the successful Broadway musical Mamma Mia!. Also included on the program will be disco hits and music of Carole King, Paul Simon and John Denver. On Friday October 17 (8 p.m.), Saturday, October 18 (3 p.m.) and Sunday, October 19 (3 p.m.), the Era of Abba will be conducted by Music Director Michael Krajewski and feature the internationally renowned vocal ensemble Rajaton from Finland.

The Belgrade Theatre has announced that Three Minute Heroes will make its long awaited return to Coventry for three weeks this Autumn. This brand new production by Bob Eaton will play on the Belgrade's B2 stage from Sat 4 - Sat 25 October. Goodspeed Musicals kicks off its 2014 season at the Goodspeed Opera House with the home run hit Damn Yankees. Goodspeed brings a unique New England flavor to its production, setting it in 1955 Boston and pitting the storied Yanks against the beloved Boston Red Sox. This ace musical comedy runs now through June 21 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn.

Theatre professionals who missed IDAHO! at NYMF will have an opportunity to see it in staged reading this Friday, April 25th only. The new musical, named 'Best of Fest' was met with cascades of laughter during its sold-out run, prompting the festival to add extra performances. The show has been described as "a rollicking satire that takes the sexually-charged subtext of the classic musical and puts it front and center."
