This week's issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine checked in with the rep for Evan Rachel Wood, who previous rumors stated was let go as Mary Jane, along with other contracted performers from SPIDER-MAN when the show hit financial troubles. Wood's representative tells the magazine however that she is still on board and that she was never set loose. Co-star Alan Cumming's rep was 'unavailable for comment.'

It became official when, SPIDER-MAN, Turn Off the Dark, was announced to open on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Broadway's Hilton Theatre, 213 West 42nd Street (preview performances will begin Saturday, January 16, 2010). Directed by Tony Award-winner Julie Taymor with 22-time Grammy Award-winning Bono and The Edge creating new music and lyrics, SPIDER-MAN will be written by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger. Well 'True Believers', since that official statement, the 'webslinging' work has heated up, and the creative process is in full 'swing' (forgive us the pun, but c'mon...).

This funny and touching memoir about a young man's experiences growing up in the Bronx during the 1960s will play at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre for a limited engagement March 10 - 22, 2009.
A BRONX TALE is produced by GO Productions. Set design is by James Noone, lighting design is by Paul Gallo, and original music and sound design is by John Gromada. Mr. Palminteri's wardrobe is supplied by Italian menswear designer ISAIA.

Making its United States premiere, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' new exhibition 'Fellini's Book of Dreams' will delve into legendary writer-director Federico Fellini's writings and drawings of his dreams and fantasies on Saturday, January 24, in the Academy's Grand Lobby Gallery in Beverly Hills. Admission is free.
Featuring two original notebooks and more than 100 reproductions of original pages from Fellini's Book of Dreams, the exhibition will include many images that inspired his most celebrated films.
Fellini began the notebooks in the 1960s and continued adding to them until 1990, three years before his death at the age of 73. The exhibition also will showcase numerous self-portraits, celebrity caricatures and film clips.
A 12-time Oscar? nominee (four nominations for directing, eight for writing) and a 1992 Honorary Award recipient, Fellini directed four films that won Academy Awards? in the Foreign Language Film category: 'La Strada' (1956), 'Nights of Cabiria' (1957), '8?' (1963) and 'Amarcord' (1974). He was widely known for exploring facets of his subconscious through his art; by actively embracing his dream life, he gave himself the opportunity to explore themes that later played out in his films, including eroticism, religion, terror and love.

Director-choreographer Mark Morris's much-lauded 2007 production of Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice returns to the repertoire, with Stephanie Blythe taking on one of the pinnacles of the mezzo-soprano repertory, the role of Orfeo, for the first time in her career. Soprano Danielle de Niese, an acclaimed singer of eighteenth-century music and a graduate of the Met's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, sings Euridice for the first time at the Met. Heidi Grant Murphy returns as Amor, which she performed at the production's premiere in 2007.

Staged December 13 - 21, the production will feature holiday songs, funny stories, poignant readings, jokes and poems compiled to celebrate the season and enchant the family. Performances are Fridays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 4 and 8 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m.
