Canadian Stage presents the Toronto premiere of Catalyst Theatre's Frankenstein, an award-winning adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic gothic novel integrating poetic verse, song, original music, stylized movement and fantastical costumes and sets made entirely of paper.

Now the star will join the West End production of Les Miserables as Marius for 3 weeks, beginning on June 21 according to the UK Daily Mail. The paper reports 'Cameron Mackintosh told me yesterday: 'I went up to him at the closing night party in New York and told him he was terrific and hoped that one day he would return to play Marius. We've been in touch a lot and, of course, since then he has become this world-famous star. 'He and his father and I agreed that it would be great if he came and played Marius here in London.'

The U.K. Daily Mail is reporting that the Broadway production of FENCES, starring Denzel Washington and Viola Davis may transfer to the West End following it's final curtain call in New York on July 11, 2010. Washington is reportedly in the early stages of negotiations to make the transfer with the show.

They've played professional tennis, recited slam poetry, and pirouetted in a tutu, as well as acted classically, comedically and experimentally. But all have chosen to spend the last three years in New York City, two express subway stops from Broadway, following their dream and refining their craft as actors, directors or playwrights in the only Masters' theater program endorsed by the renowned Actors Studio.

Confirming the news previously posted on BroadwayWorld, Cameron Mackintosh has formally announced that his hugely acclaimed new 25th anniversary production of the World's Longest-Running Musical, Les Misérables, will tour North America beginning in fall 2010, visiting many cities on a multi-year tour. Nederlander Detroit has announced that the Southeastern Michigan Lincoln Mercury Dealers will sponsor the 2010-2011 Broadway in Detroit season. All engagements will be at the Fisher Theatre, except for Mary Poppins which will play at the Detroit Opera House.

The New York Philharmonic will present SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert on March 15 and Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. This celebration of the 80th birthday of the great Broadway and film composer/lyricist will include his most enduring orchestral music and songs - performed, in some cases, by the stars of the original Broadway cast productions - in addition to rarely-heard material. Joining the celebration will be (in alphabetical order) Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, and others to be announced, including surprise guests.
