Gretna Theatre is excited to present Academy Award winner Shirley Jones for one
performance only on May 21, 2011 as its season kick-off event. 'Jones' one woman show, 'An Evening of Stories and Songs' will be a ‘stellar' beginning to the season,' said Gretna Theatre's producing artistic director Larry Frenock. 'We were fortunate to meet Ms. Jones when we attended her performance at the legendary Feinstein's night club while conducting our season auditions in New York City in March,' said Frenock. 'I asked if she might consider helping us with this fundraising event at Gretna Theatre and she accepted!'

This holiday season, Broadway will receive the greatest gift of all - a new musical. Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features announced today that the new Broadway musical ELF will open on Wednesday, November 10th at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). Previews will begin on Tuesday, November 2nd. The production will play a limited engagement for the holiday season through Sunday, January 2nd.

'I murdered Mozart!' rings out across Europe from Composer Antonio Salieri on his death-bed. Salieri had been the toast of Europe. He had been a devout Catholic all his life. He made a pact with God that he would be the vessel through which God's music would spring. All was good until Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart arrives in Vienna. In horror Salieri determines that it is Mozart instead who is his God's chosen voice.
