The March broadcasts of The New York Philharmonic This Week - the weekly radio series of concerts and recordings by the New York Philharmonic, hosted by Alec Baldwin - begin with Music Director Alan Gilbert leading the Philharmonic in the World Premiere of The Marie-Josee Kravis Composer-in-Residence Christopher Rouse's Prospero's Rooms; Bernstein's Serenade (after Plato's "Symposium"), with Joshua Bell as soloist; and Ives's Symphony No. 4 with representatives of the New York Choral Consortium. The following week Alan Gilbert and Assistant Conductor Case Scaglione will lead the Philharmonic in a performance of Stravinsky's Ragtime for 11 Instruments; Shostakovich's Tahiti Trot; Copland's Clarinet Concerto featuring Associate Principal Clarinet Marc Nuccio; and Wynton Marsalis's Swing Symphony (Symphony No. 3) featuring the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will host 22 theatrical offerings from 20 different countries during WORLD STAGES: International Theater Festival 2014 that will run for three weeks March 10-30, 2014 throughout the Center. The international festival features contemporary theater works offering 13 fully staged productions, 4 theater-focused installations, 3 readings of new works, and 2 forums. From Olivier and Tony Award-winning puppetry to innovative perspectives on old classics, a diverse showcase of theatrical expression will be represented by countries spanning the globe including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, England, France, Iceland, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Pakistan, Palestine, Scotland, South Africa, Sudan, Syria, and the United States.

Michael Pennington, two-time Olivier Award nominee, an artist of international stature and one of England's greatest classical actors, will play the title role in William Shakespeare's tragedy King Lear directed by Arin Arbus. For the second production in Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural season at its first permanent home, the new Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place in Brooklyn, Mr. Pennington leads a company of 22 actors. King Lear begins previews March 14 for an opening March 27 and a run through May 4.

GAME OF THRONES actor Owen Teale will star in director Terry Hands' new production of UNDER MILK WOOD, which will embark on an English tour, following its run at Clywd Theatr Cymru and a Welsh tour, at York Theatre Royal on Monday 21 April. The production marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth, as well as the 60th anniversary since UNDER MILK WOOD was first produced in Britain, as a radio play by the BBC, in 1954. A cast of Welsh actors also includes TORCHWOOD actor Kai Owen and Steven Meo (THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS).

Mark Bazeley and Kristin Davis will join the previously announced Natascha McElhone in Trevor Nunn's production of Fatal Attraction to play Dan and Beth Gallagher. Written by James Dearden, the world stage premiere of Fatal Attraction will open at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 25 March 2014, with previews now starting on 11 March and currently booking to 21 June 2014. Designs are by Rob Jones with lighting by Paul Pyant and sound by Paul Groothuis.

The February broadcasts of The New York Philharmonic This Week - the weekly radio series of concerts and recordings by the New York Philharmonic, hosted by Alec Baldwin - begin with Music Director Alan Gilbert leading the Philharmonic in Beethoven's Fidelio Overture and Symphony No. 1; Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1, with Lisa Batiashvili as soloist; and Gershwin's An American in Paris. The following week, guest conductor Andrey Boreyko will lead the Philharmonic in a performance of Stravinsky's The Song of the Nightingale; Mozart's Bassoon Concerto, with Philharmonic Principal Bassoon Judith LeClair as soloist; and Zemlinsky's The Mermaid, Fantasy for Orchestra.

In January, Music Director Riccardo Muti leads the CSO in their fifth international tour together. The two-week trip includes the CSO's debut in Spain's Canary Islands, after which they travel to Essen, Germany and then to Luxembourg.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts presents the world premiere of THE TEMPEST, produced by the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at The Smith Center in Las Vegas April 5-13, 2014. The Smith Center's first ever co-production, THE TEMPEST is adapted and directed by Aaron Posner and Teller from the play by William Shakespeare, with magic by Teller, music by Tom Waits and movement by Matt Kent of Pilobolus. THE TEMPEST will perform at The Smith Center's Donald W. Reynolds Symphony Park in a 500-seat climate controlled tent before moving to Cambridge, MA to begin performances at A.R.T. Billy Crystal will return to Broadway this fall for a 9-week-only limited engagement of his Tony Award-winning, record-breaking play 700 Sundays. This will mark the final engagement of this production. Previews began Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) with opening night scheduled for tonight, November 13, 2013 and a final performance set for Sunday, January 5, 2014. 700 Sundays is performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel and direction by Des McAnuff.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University welcomes three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Bryan Cranston to play the lead role of Lyndon Baines Johnson in Robert Schenkkan's new play All The Way opening the A.R.T.'s 2013-14 Season at the Loeb Drama Center.
