Deadline.com reports that Lionsgate has acquired U.S. distribution rights for A MOST WANTED MAN, directed by Anton Cobjin. The adaptation of John le Carre's novel stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright and Willem Dafoe.

The World Premiere of Tim Anfilogoff and Alan Whittaker's sharp and satirical musical plays C Venues at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Grace Bishop, Nicola Kill, and Rosie Watson will take on the titular role of Greta, Annie Kirkman makes her professional debut as the manipulative Fay, they will be joined by Sam Turrell as Tony, Michael Rees as Reg/Fred, Melissa Hovelle as Rita, Will Mulvey as Gregory Hampton M.P, Chelsea Corfield as Ute and Paul Brangan as Norm. The production will run today, 31st July - 26th August (not 13th) : 21:35 (1hr10) | C (venue 34).

According to Variety, the acclaimed actor will executive produce and star in the premium cable network's upcoming pilot TRENDING DOWNWARDS, described as 'a blistering attack on our youth-obsessed culture.' The official announcement is expected next week.

New Group's 2013-14 Season to Include THE JACKSONIAN with Bill Pullman, Ed Harris & More!

The New Group launches its 2013-2014 Off-Broadway season with the New York premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Beth Henley's The Jacksonian, arriving in Fall 2013. Directed by Tony Award winner Robert Falls, this production features Ed Harris, Glenne Headly, Amy Madigan and Bill Pullman. The Jacksonian was first produced at the Geffen Playhouse in 2012. In Winter 2014, as the second production in the company's season, The New Group delivers the world premiere of Thomas Bradshaw's Intimacy, directed by Scott Elliott. The third production of The New Group's upcoming season is to be announced.

Directed by Richard Seer, Other Desert Cities will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, April 27 - June 2, 2013. Preview performances run April 27 - May 1. Opening night is Thursday, May 2 at 8:00 p.m. Other Desert Cities is a co-production with TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. Artists Rep will present The Gin Game by D.L. Coburn, starring Allen Nause and Vana O'Brien, directed by JoAnn Johnson. This two-person, two-act play is a 1978 Pulitzer Prize winner and garnered multiple Tony Award nominations both with its original 1977 production and the Broadway revival in 1997. This play replaces the originally planned production of The Invisible Hand by Ayad Akhtar.

Hidden secrets are unearthed and family tensions fly high in Pulitzer Prize nominee Jon Robin Baitz's contemporary family drama Other Desert Cities. Helen Hayes Award winner and former Arena Stage Associate Artistic Director Kyle Donnelly returns to direct the D.C.-area premiere of the show with a cast that features Tony Award nominee and two-time Helen Hayes Award winner Helen Carey (Mary Tyrone in Arena Stage's Long Day's Journey into Night, Broadway's Hedda Gabler) as matriarch Polly Wyeth and two-time Tony Award nominee Larry Bryggman (Broadway's Harvey, CBS's As the World Turns) as patriarch Lyman Wyeth. Rounding out the cast are Emily Donahoe (Broadway's 33 Variations) as daughter Brooke Wyeth, Scott Drummond (Cherry Lane Theatre's A Perfect Future) as son Trip Wyeth and Martha Hackett (Pacific Resident Theatre's Nora) as their aunt Silda Grauman. Other Desert Cities runs April 26-May 26, 2013 in the Fichandler Stage.
