Amas Musical Theatre in association with North Haven Arts and Enrichment has announced that Broadway's Josh Grisetti (Broadway Bound, Enter Laughing), Alli Mauzey (Wicked, Cry-Baby), and Kevin Pariseau (Legally Blonde) will head the cast of the New York Premiere of Red Eye of Love, a new musical (based on the 1961 play by Arnold Weinstein) with book and lyrics by Arnold Weinstein and John Wulp, music by Sam Davisand scenic design by renowned American artist Robert Indiana. Directed by Tony Award winner Ted Sperling, previews will begin at the Dicapo Opera Theatre (184 East 76th Street at Lexington Avenue) on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Opening night set for Thursday, September 4 at 8pm. Performances will continue through September 28, 2014.

MEET & GREET, a new comedy play by tv veterans Stan Zimmerman (The Golden Girls, Roseanne, Gilmore Girls) & Christian McLaughlin (Married with Children, Desperate Housewives) and directed by Stan Zimmerman (Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Blink & You Might Miss Me, A Tuna Christmas), will be presented by Combined Artform at Hollywood Fringe 2014. This past Sunday, May 18th, the sold out audience at the first NY revival of William Inge's A LOSS OF ROSES included Inge's nephew, James A. Mahan, as well as Mahan's children and grandchildren. They joined the cast onstage afterwards for a full family & company portrait. On behalf of the family, James Mahan's daughter Sandra wrote the following to the production the next day: 'A heartfelt thank you for having us! We so enjoyed the play and meeting the cast. Clearly everyone involved with this production put much heartfelt energy into it. Your theater has such a very warm and inviting feel which we embraced!'

Award-winning Summer Stock Austin will open its 10th Anniversary Season with the first show they ever produced, FOOTLOOSE. Footloose, the perfect summer musical, is packed with exhilarating dancing, vibrantly vintage 80s costumes, and a score filled with music that defined an era. Footloose will be directed and choreographed by SSA Co-Founder Ginger Morris. The 2014 season will also include Kander & Ebb's sizzling Broadway Blockbuster, CHICAGO. This sharp-edged satire, set in the roaring 20s, features a dazzling score that inspired immortal staging by Bob Fosse. SSA Co-Founder, Michael McKelvey directs Chicago with choreography by Rocker Verastique. Theatre-For-All, the Summer Stock Austin 'family audience' production, will be following up last year's hit, THE BREMEN TOWN MUSICIANS, with the World Premiere of Allen Robertson's STONE SOUP. Mr. Robertson will stage and music direct the production.
