Tennessee Shakespeare Company (TSC) will bring G. Bernard Shaw’s masterwork of spiritual, political, and human inquiry, Saint Joan, to the Tabor Stage April 4-19.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel's thought-provoking play Indecent. Inspired by the 1923 Broadway debut of Sholem Asch's Yiddish drama The God of Vengeance, and the controversy that surrounded its themes of censorship, immigration and anti-Semitism, Vogel explores the behind-the-scenes story of the courageous artists who risked their careers and lives to perform this piece of theater under the most challenging circumstances. Infused with music that combines standards from Yiddish theater with folk traditions of the early to mid-20th century, Indecent, a co-production with Baltimore Center Stage and Kansas City Repertory, is directed by Eric Rosen, with choreography by Erika Chong Shuch and music direction and original music by Alexander Sovronsky. The production runs November 23 - December 30, 2018 in the Kreeger Theater.

Since 1923, EAG's Annual Memorial Service has brought together members of the performing arts community on an afternoon in November to celebrate the lives and work of our colleagues who have passed away in the previous year. I decided to do our Much Ado with a company of women. It's a playful riposte to the numerous all-male productions of Shakespeare's - and indeed our own - time. And a wonderful opportunity to give women - including skilled, experienced 'older' women - a chance to play this rich range of parts.

Today, Goodman Theatre announces the Summer 2018 return of Jim McGrath's Pamplona starring stage and screen veteran Stacy Keach as Ernest Hemingway, directed by Artistic Director Robert Falls. Originally scheduled for Spring 2017, Pamplona appeared for 11 preview performances but closed prematurely after its star suddenly fell ill on Opening Night and doctors ordered recuperation.

Ten years after their critically acclaimed collaboration on King Lear, Artistic Director Robert Falls and stage and screen star Stacy Keach-both 2015 Theater Hall of Fame inductees-reunite for the world premiere of Pamplona by Jim McGrath.

Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today that his longtime creative collaborator, Artistic Associate and Producer Steve Scott, will direct the theater's production of Eugene O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness! this spring. Scott assumes this responsibility from Falls, who was originally announced as the production's director.

A revue is a rare theatrical treat these days. In its heyday, the irresistible combination of light comedy, song and dance sketches was incredibly popular. Its golden age lasted from the early 1920s to the late 1950s and for much of that time its greatest practitioner was Noel Coward who wrote and appeared in a succession of revues on both sides of the Atlantic such as London Calling! (1923) and Sigh No More (1945).

Eclipse Theatre Company announces its Eighth Annual Corona Award, to be presented to Joseph Drummond, Goodman Theatre Production Stage Manager. The Corona Award honors an individual who has played an important role in supporting and nurturing the growth of the Chicago theater community as well as small- to medium-sized ensembles such as Eclipse Theatre. The Corona Award derives its name from the Latin word, meaning crown, as well as outer atmosphere of the sun most easily seen during a total eclipse.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for George Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man, joining celebrated director Jessica Stone, who recently made her Globe debut with Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Shaw's romantic comedy, which continues the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration, will run May 9 - June 14, 2015 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. 2012 Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer recreates his Tony Award winning role in the film adaptation of BARRYMORE, directed & adapted by Érik Canuel, which will be theatrically released jointly by BY Experience and Image Entertainment beginning Thursday, November 15 in New York and Los Angeles. BARRYMORE is based on the play by William Luce.
