The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) continues its 2010/11 Season with R. Buckminster Fuller: THE HISTORY (and Mystery) OF THE UNIVERSE, written and directed by D.W. Jacobs from the life, work, and writings of R. Buckminster Fuller. The production features Thomas Derrah as Bucky Fuller. Set and lighting design is by David Cuthbert, costume design by Darla Cash, projection design by Jim Findlay, and sound/composition by Luis Perez.

Chuck Cooper, Daniel Breaker, Patina Miller, Sharon Washington, Daniel Gerroll, John Douglas Thompson and Sherry Boone have been cast in Lost in the Stars, the second Encores! production of the New York City Center season, running February 3 - 6 at City Center. Lost in the Stars has music by Kurt Weill and book and lyrics by Maxwell Anderson. It will be directed by Gary Griffin and choreographed by Chase Brock, with music direction by Rob Berman.

In spite of overcast skies and intermittent drizzle, a good size crowd joined in celebration of Ferragosto at the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum on Sunday, August 15.

On Sunday, August 15, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., as part of the Terza Domenica Heritage Series, the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum will celebrate the Italian summer festival Ferragosto. In keeping with this popular Italian holiday, we will offer games, crafts and activities for the whole family. Museum staff will teach visitors bocce and the Tarantella, and give free tours of the museum-in English and Italian. Admission is free, and there will be delicious food from various regions of Italy available for sale, as well as a selection of Italian wines for the adults to taste. Le Nozze di Carlo will be performing Italian folk and pop music, we'll have some awesome raffles, and will offer face painting by Melissa of FaceArtByMelissa.com for the kids, and kids at heart. Parking will be available at the Church of St. Joseph, 137 St. Mary's Avenue at Tompkins Avenue.
