The classic full-length ballet Swan Lake will be performed in four acts by Moscow Festival Ballet at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Tues. Feb. 28 @ 8:00 PM. The music for Swan Lake is by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikowski and choreography is by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. Swan Lake premiered: March 4, 1877 Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow, and his since been made infamous. The inspired story has regenerated itself throughout the years in popular culture with films like the animated 1994 children's favorite The Swan Princess and of course the much darker Black Swan, 2010.

Following the opening of Terence Rattigan's Flare Path, the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company today (1 April 2011) announce a further two productions to be directed by Trevor Nunn in his role as Artistic Director. After a three week run at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Nunn's production of Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead comes to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in June, followed in September by William Shakespeare's The Tempest. Further productions in the season will be announced shortly.

On Monday, November 22, Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer of Lincoln Center Theater (LCT) received the John Houseman Award for his work at Lincoln Center and as Joseph Papp's Associate Producer of The New York Shakespeare Festival (NYSF) at The Acting Company's Masquerade Gala. Tom Viola, Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), was also honored with the Joan Warburg Humanitarian Award for his leadership and advocacy in the fight against AIDS. Kelsey Grammer and Patti LuPone entertained as Angela Lansbury, Marian Seldes, Elizabeth Wilson, Campbell Scott, Dana Ivey, Shubert's Philip Smith and Robert Wankel, Jujamcyn's Paul Libin, Equity's Nick Wyman, The Actors Fund's Joe Benecasa and The Broadway League's Charlotte St. Martin and more joined the salute.
