Based on the beloved 1993 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture written by Barry Berman and Leslie McNeil, Benny & Joon is directed by Jack Cummings III, Artistic Director of New York's Transport Group.

The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center of Palo Alto proudly presents the stellar line-up for its Fall 2017-2018 Arts & Dialogues series, featuring world-renowned musicians, artists, and a host of fascinating thinkers, doers, and innovators. In April of 2017 at Wild Project in the East Village, a revival of James McLure's Lone Star, by NINE Theatricals, took the stage in New York City for only the second time since it's Broadway debut in 1979. The production was met with tremendous feedback and glowing reviews from New York City critics and audiences who had not before seen this lesser known work. With a demand for more shows, producers moved Lone Star, in May, to The Triad Theatre for a limited Off Broadway contract run.

Jacob's Pillow Dance will celebrate the opening of the Perles Family Studio at an official ribbon cutting ceremony on August 18, 2017. The Pillow's 85th Anniversary Festival Finale, on August 26, will be the first event in the brand new space, which marks the first major on-site construction project at the Pillow since 1992. The $5.5 million building was designed by award-winning Flansburgh Architects of Boston, MA and constructed by Allegrone Companies of Pittsfield, MA. The Perles Family Studio is an integral part of the Pillow's five-year strategic plan, Vision '22, which launches the Pillow as a year-round campus for programs, research, and development with initiatives made possible through a deep commitment to The School at Jacob's Pillow, artist residencies, community engagement, and educational programs.

An eclectic lineup is featured this month at Blue Note Hawaii with an array of iconic national artists, local favorites and hilarious comedians. The Henry Kapono Artist to Artist Series continues with Jerry Santos of Olomana, followed by local greats Shawn Pimental and Lehua Kalima, one-man wonder Tavana, Kapono N??ili?ili, Brother Noland and of course the incomparable Willie K.
