The Broadway community mourned the loss of Tony Award-winning actor and Tony-nominated director, Roger Rees, who passed away last Friday at age 71, by dimming the Great White Way's theater marquees in his memory tonight, July 15th, at 7:45 p.m. for one minute. Philadelphia Theatre Company announces that two-time Tony Award-nominee and film actress Kathleen Turner will star in the world premiere of Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins by Margaret Engel and Allison Engel. Directed by award-winning director David Esbjornson, this one-woman play based on the writings of the late political journalist Molly Ivins will take the slot previously slated for Mauritius by Theresa Rebeck. 'Red Hot Patriot' runs through April 18, 2010.

Preview performances began Saturday, September 12th, for the critically acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production of William Shakespeare's HAMLET with Jude Law in the title role, directed by Michael Grandage. The production officially opened last night, October 6th, at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). HAMLET will play a strictly limited run of 12 weeks only.
