Infinitheatre presents the remount of its hugely successful world premiere of Kafka's Ape, Guy Sprung's adaptation of Franz Kafka's A Report to an Academy, from the original German. Kafka's Ape runs from tonight, Nov. 7-24 at Bain St. Michel.

One of the most respected antique experts in the country, Randy Donley, founder of Donley Auctions, will present a spectacular one-night auction featuring 300 one of a kind items, to include the Kiddieland carousel and a rare intact 1880's Soda Fountain and Pharmacy interior on Saturday, November 16 at 6 p.m. at Donley's Wild West Town, 8512 South Union Road, Union, IL. A "first look" preview party will be presented on Friday, November 15 at 6 p.m., also to be held at Donley's. Viewing will also take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. until start of auction.

The Pasadena Playhouse announces 'Fostering the Memories,' an open house event for the community and general public on Sunday, October 20, 2013, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The free event, hosted by Playhouse Board Member Darrell Brooke in partnership with the Friends, Alumni & Associates and the Ambassadors, invites everyone and anyone interested in learning about The Playhouse's history, its current programming, volunteer opportunities and general information. The October broadcasts of The New York Philharmonic This Week — the weekly radio series of concerts and recordings by the New York Philharmonic, hosted by Alec Baldwin — begin with two programs featuring The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Yefim Bronfman. In the first, Lorin Maazel leads Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 1, with Mr. Bronfman as soloist, and Sibelius's Symphony No. 2. The following week Music Director Alan Gilbert conducts Ravel's Alborada del gracioso; Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story; and Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, again with Mr. Bronfman as soloist.

A gifted Jewish-American athlete who was denied the chance to represent the U.S. at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, he went on to become one of the most revered and influential sportscasters in history, pioneering many of the techniques, phrases and programming innovations that are commonplace in sports reporting today. Chronicling his remarkable life and career, GLICKMAN debuts MONDAY, AUG. 26 (9:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.

Columbus' CAPA Summer Movie Series Premieres Silent Film THE LITTLE AMERICAN Tonight

Christel Schmidt, an OSU alum now a film historian for the Library of Congress, will give a brief introduction to this year's CAPA Summer Movie Series silent film selection, The Little American (1917), starring 'America's Sweetheart,' Mary Pickford. Schmidt's specialty is the history of silent film with a focus on the life and career of Mary Pickford, and she will provide some insight on the actress, the pre-screening 14-minute fund-raising short for the US' Fourth Liberty Loan Drive in WWI titled One Hundred Percent American (1918) starring Pickford, and the series premiere of this feature film restoration print from the UCLA Film & Television Archive.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director) present the New York premiere of Storyville, a New Orleans musical, with book by Ed Bullins, music and lyrics by Mildred Kayden, direction by Bill Castellino,choreography by Mercedes Ellington and music direction by William Foster McDaniel.
