The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) in association with Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter & Michael Chase Gosselin presents LUDO's Broken Bride, a new rock opera about one man's epic journey to save his true love's life, utilizing LUDO's entire discography. Adapted by Stacey Weingarten (NYMF: Les Enfants de Paris, Rescue Rue) with additional story and arrangements by Dana Levinson, the cast of 14 includes Spencer Clark (Regional: West Side Story, Romeo In Your Arms), Carson Higgins (Nat. The Old Globe has announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Paul Gordon's delightfully romantic new musical SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, developed with Rick Boynton and presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it was commissioned and had its world premiere in April 2015.

Presented by The Barn Stage Company, the 2016 Summer Series opens in July with the Tony Award-winning play, Peter And The Starcatcher! The show runs Thursday-Sunday for three weekends at The Truax Building in Old Town Temecula. This production comes to Temecula for the first time! An Inland Empire Premiere! David Compton – one of the region's most accomplished and acclaimed and most beloved actors and directors – died early Wednesday morning, May 4, after a four-year battle with heart disease and cancer. He leaves his wife, Amanda Card Compton (whom he married on Tuesday, May 3, just hours before his death); his mother, Jo Compton of Badin, North Carolina; his sister Becky Compton Taylor; his brother Jim Compton; and countless other friends and family who are mourning his passing.

First up, we're Getting To Know…Amber Buker, who with her partner Randall Tye Pike, is launching Nashville's latest theater company - Distraction Theatre - this summer at the iconic Darkhorse Theater. Even before we subjected her to a good and dramatic drilling/grilling and/or questioning, we knew her to be charming and direct, two of the attributes all theater folk should develop. But as we pummeled her with queries, we discovered something else: she once competed for the title of Miss Oklahoma, a fact that ingratiated her to us immediately.

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced complete casting for Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's classic musical West Side Story, directed by Paper Mill Playhouse's Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee and Jerome Robbins' original choreography recreated by Alex Sanchez. West Side Story is based on a conception by Jerome Robbins and features a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
