The Alden in McLean announces its winter-spring 2016 season offerings of national and international touring artists. Professional artists from the worlds of comedy, dance, theatre, music, magic, children's theatre and more will visit the 383-seat performing arts venue located inside the Beltway and minutes from downtown DC. Off Broadway at the Marcus Center series, sponsored by Envoy Restaurant and Lounge, has announced an addition to its season with The Eve of Jackie: A Tribute to Jackie Wilson starring Chester Gregory. The show comes to the Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall on February 18-20. Tickets go on sale this Sunday, November 15 at 12:00 pm.

The New York Philharmonic will present Rachmaninoff: A Philharmonic Festival, tonight, November 10-28, 2015, featuring 24-year-old Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov performing three of the composer's piano concertos and the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini over the course of three consecutive all-Rachmaninoff programs, each led by a different conductor: Cristian Macelaru (in his Philharmonic debut), Neeme Jarvi, and Ludovic Morlot.

'Eric Bentley's Brecht-Eisler Songbook,' the debut CD from soprano actress Karyn Levitt, will be available from Roven Records today, October 30.

Fourteen years since his debut at Don't Tell Mama, Marcus Simeone has evolved into a fearless singer who is able to climb inside any song and deliver it home with ease. Aside from eclectic solo work, he has also partnered with others over the years with mixed results. Currently, he has joined forces with two cabaret artists in two totally unrelated songwriter showcases running simultaneously in two different clubs. One salutes a controversial folk pioneer and the other pays homage to three Broadway icons.

Excerpts from Yunus Emre (1946), an oratorio composed by Ahmed Adnan Saygun, the most important Turkish classical music composer of the twentieth century, will be performed at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall at 8 PM tonight, October 17, 2015 as part of MidAtlantic Opera and Seton Hall University's co-production entitled A Prayer for Peace. This rarely-heard piece will be sung in Turkish by the 100-voice Seton Hall University choir.

Sierra Repertory takes its audiences to the glamorous and nostalgic world of Tony Award winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone October 16 to November 22 at the East Sonora Theatre on Mono Way. The comedy begins when a die-hard musical fan, feeling blue, dusts off his favorite cast album, a fictitious 1928 hit called The Drowsy Chaperone. The show comes to life - showy, glitzy, colorful life - in his drab living room as he wryly comments on the lush music, the thin plot and the personal lives of the actors.

Quintessence Theatre, Philadelphia's only all-classical repertory theatre, announces its sixth season of progressive classics.

Following recent celebrated performances in The Present and Children of the Sun, Jacqueline McKenzie is back at Sydney Theatre Company (STC) for the whimsical, magical tale of time and transformation, Orlando, Sarah Ruhl's adaptation of Virginia Woolf's 1928 novel. The wild ride spanning more than 300 years also features John Gaden, Matthew Backer, Luisa Hastings Edge, Garth Holcombe, and Anthony Taufa, directed by STC Resident Director Sarah Goodes, at the Drama Theatre, Sydney Opera House, from 9 November to 19 December 2015.
