The award-winning musical THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE visits Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from Tuesday 26 - Saturday 30 June with Hayley Tamaddon taking on the title role of Millie Dilmount, a Kansas girl determined to make it big in New York City.

Continuing its commitment to bringing free Shakespeare to the community and strengthening audience engagement with the arts, The Public Theater will mount its MOBILE UNIT again this spring with a free three-week tour to the five boroughs of Shakespeare's HENRY V, directed by Robert O'Hara.Now in its eighth year, the Mobile Unit's free tour (March 29 - April 21) brings Shakespeare and other works to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts by visiting correctional facilities, homeless shelters, social service organizations, and other community venues.

Joe's Pub at The Public invites a slate of world-class artists to take residence on its venerable stage. Acclaimed actor and singer Alan Cumming will descend with a two-week midnight run of his brand new show Legal Immigrant, from June 19-30. On March 19, Hendryx invites Liza Jessie Peterson to debut Down the Rabbit Hole: A Peculiar Patriot All Day Mashup of stories from behind the wall, a mix of Peterson's acclaimed one-woman show The Peculiar Patriot and her book All Day. Over March 29-31, Hendryx convenes the first-ever Rock Solid Women's Festival: Celebrating Women in Art & Music, presenting a radically inclusive lineup of poets, singers, songwriters and literary writers.

The Public Theater begin previews of Black Light, starring Jomama Jones, the alter ego of Daniel Alexander Jones, on Monday, February 12 in Joe's Pub at The Public. Black Light is a moving, music-laden work - a revival of sorts - for turbulent times. Created by Jones, the show features original music by Jomama, Laura Jean Anderson, Bobby Halvorson, Dylan Meek and Josh Quat with music direction by Samora Abayomi Pinderhughes. Performances begin Monday, February 12 and run through Sunday, March 25, with an official press opening on Sunday, February 25.

In Toho Stage's return engagement of Dogfight patrons may recognize several company members. All but three actors were part of the Japanese premiere in 2015 at Theater Crea in Chiyoda. Based on the 1991 Warner Brothers film written by Bob Comfort, the musical stays faithful to the screenplay. This current revival in three cities- Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya­- features the all-Japanese cast in a distinctly American story set in the backdrop of the Vietnam War.

The San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) released the detailed performance schedule for the 2018 Program today. Forty different artist ensembles and companies will present their work exclusively at the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) from May 24 - June 3. There may have been many reasons for the success of the show. With stellar turns by Marcelo Medici as the big-corporation employee whose idea on how to get ahead in business consists of lending his bachelor apartment to his married bosses, and by Malu Rodrigues as the cafeteria waitress with whom he falls in love even though she is having an affair with the personnel director, and with Alonso Barros in charge of choreography and Claudio Botelho & Charles M eller directing, the musical proves that it is still as fresh and vibrant as it was when it was first created, opening in Brazil now, 50 years after his debut on Broadway.

(NEC) will re-mount its 2017 revival of 'A Soldier's Play' by Charles Fuller, directed by Charles Weldon, from February 14 to March 4, 2018 at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street. The piece is historically NEC's most famous and successful play. It was produced last fall at Theatre 80 St. Marks as the culminating event of NEC's landmark 50th season, playing to full houses and glowing notices. The cast of that revival will return intact for the Gene Frankel Theatre run.
