Today, October 16 through the 21st, Kennessaw State University presents Kander and Ebb's Tony Award-Winning Broadway classic, Cabaret. Performances are Tuesday-Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm at the Howard Logan Stillwell Theatre. This production features choreography by the Off-Broadway choreographer and acclaimed tap dancer Jen MacQueen, who recently choreographed both the new chamber version of Sweet Charity and the premiere of Clyde 'n' Bonnie the musical.

Deadline reports that Ewan McGregor has signed on to star in the upcoming crime thriller SON OF A GUN. The film will be shot on location in Australia beginning in early 2013. Julius Avery penned the script and will make his directorial debut on the film.

New York's newest theater company Breaking Bread Theatre, under the leadership of Co-Artistic Directors Joe Calarco and Jen Waldman, with Third Coast Creative, present a developmental lab of the new musical Ella Minnow Pea by Larson Award-winning writers Scott Burkell and Paul Loesel. The invitation-only presentations will be held October 25 - 26.

41N 50W is the last known position of the Titanic before she sank at 2.20am on 15th April 1912 during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. 41N 50W is a unique new play written by Robert Neal Marshall, adapted from over 1,100 pages of the original 1912 Senate Hearings. Readings of the play will be presented at the St. James Studio Theatre on 4 and 5 October 2012.

Today we are talking to a terrifically talented stage and screen performer who has appeared in dozens of film, TV and stage projects over the course of his forty-year career, the thoughtful and charming Treat Williams. In this all-encompassing conversation, Williams and I discuss the many stages of his career thus far, from his early roots co-starring alongside the likes of John Travolta and Marilu Henner in GREASE and OVER HERE! on Broadway in the 1970s, to leading the film adaptation of Terrence McNally's THE RITZ to headlining Milos Foreman's stirring film version of HAIR to starring in handful of other iconic films from his heydey at the top of the Hollywood heap - Steven Spielberg's 1941, Sergio Leone's ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA and Sidney Lumet's PRINCE OF THE CITY included - and even working with Woody Allen on the caustic HOLLYWOOD ENDING. In addition to sharing candid and observant behind-the-scenes stories from the sets of those landmark properties, Williams also reveals his role in the STAR WARS sequel THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and reflects on his brief time in London with Carrie Fisher, George Lucas and company. The producers of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 smash hit movie that defined a generation, have just announced that the production will arrive on Broadway in August 2013 with a theater, dates and casting to be announced.

Written and directed by Jim Cartwright, the Olivier Award-winning THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE will begin a national tour at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre tonight, 31 August, with opening night on Tuesday 4 September.
