At The Acting Company's Masquerade Gala on November 14 at Capitale, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Joseph Benincasa, Chairman and President respectively of The Actors Fund, will accept the Joan Warburg Humanitarian Award honoring the Fund's extraordinary legacy of providing health and human services to the entertainment community since 1882. James Bundy, Dean of Yale School of Drama and Artistic Director of Yale Repertory Theatre, will receive the John Houseman Award recognizing his profound commitment to the development of classical actors and a national audience for the theater. David Hyde Pierce and Charles S. For the next four weekends (until November 13, 2011), this year's unofficial Chicagoland Stephen Schwartz festival continues at the Theater Wit multiplex facility on Belmont Avenue. That's where the Bohemian Theatre Ensemble, aka Boho Theatre, has mounted a thoroughly relevant and highly riveting production of the first show the lyricist and composer wrote (while he was in college) and the first to make it to Broadway, where it opened in 1972 in a legendary production staged by Bob Fosse at the height of his power.

The newly remastered collection includes both the original off-Broadway cast recording from 1971 and the motion picture soundtrack from 1973. While the United Nations General Assembly met in New York City this past September, four talented 12-year old youngsters who are members of The Children's Acting Company division of New York's Children's Acting Academy (CAA) - Nicholas Cacciola, Jonathan Rockhill, Bella Scarselli and Brooke Strutin -- traveled to London, England, to represent the United States in the first ever international children's theatre exchange which took place September 17 - 27, 2010. The event was produced by Theatretrain, a nation-wide British performing arts company for children which was established in 1992, and co-presented with the German-based international children's charity Arts by Children.

Nancy Dolman, wife of Martin Short, passed away on August 21 - the cause of death remains unknown. Doleman is perhaps best remembered for her appearences on the ABC cult sitcom 'Soap', 'Second City Television' and 'Custard Pie'. She also appeared in her husband Martin Short's critically acclaimed 1985 cable television special Martin Short: Concert for the North Americas.
