Directed by Joe Calarco, the ensemble cast features Whitney Bashor, Sherri Edelen, Joe Guzman, Ken Krugman, Kyra Miller, Fran Prisco, Matthew Scott, and Maureen Torsney-Weir.

The UNLV Performing Arts Center celebrates the holiday season with A Forbidden Broadway Christmas, conducted by Catherine Stornetta and with the UNLV Jazz Symphony, at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 as part of the New York Stage & Beyond Series, From the mischievous merry-makers who brought you Forbidden Broadway, this holiday musical extravaganza will fill your holiday with hilarity. Selections include 'Barbra Jingle Bells' and 'Fiddler on an Xmas Tree.'

On Monday, November 23 at 9:30 pm, Jim Caruso's Cast Party the weekly event held at Birdland, 315 West 44th Street (bet 8th & 9th Ave) will open with a special celebration / book release party for 'Forbidden Broadway: Behind the Mylar Curtain'. Creator Gerard Alessandrini will be performing along with Nora Mae Lyng, the show's other original cast member; as well as some of FB stalwarts Michael West, Christina Bianco, and Gina Kreiezmar, with longtime pianist David Caldwell.

Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the world premiere of Sammy, a new musical based on the life of Sammy Davis, Jr. with book, music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, and additional songs by Bricusse and Anthony Newley. Directed by Keith Glover with choreography by Keith Young and music supervision by Ian Fraser, Sammy will run in the Old Globe Theatre Sept. 19 - Nov. 8. Previews run from Sept. 19 - Oct. 1. Opening night is Oct. 2 at 8:00 p.m.

Uptown Players, a professional theatre group located in the Uptown/Oak Lawn area of Dallas, has announced its 2010 season, which will feature the United States premiere of Closer to Heaven, regional premieres of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Regrets Only, as well as the recent Broadway hit Equus and the hysterical musical revue Forbidden Broadway's Greatest Hits.
