In 1959, theater, film, and TV star LANE BRADBURY created the role of Dainty June in the original Broadway production of the iconic show GYPSY starring Ethel Merman. Now, almost 60 years later, Bradbury is making her debut at the legendary cabaret Don't Tell Mama with LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU, AGAIN. Bradbury's musical trip down memory lane is a personal tour of how she transitioned from being an Atlanta Debutante to a performer on The Great White Way during the Golden Age of Broadway Musicals. Written by Doug DeVita, directed by Bradbury's daughter Elkin Antoniou, and with Musical Direction by Joe Goodrich, Lane Bradbury's LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU, AGAIN hits the Don't Tell Mama stage for a third performance on Sunday, September 24 at 7 pm.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts continues its star-packed 25th anniversary season in February 2017 with 30 amazing productions and events, including one of the biggest hits now running on Broadway, three international orchestras, a couple of impressive symphonies, two legendary dance companies and incredible line-up of musical headliners and a truly memorable NIGHT OF STARS.

A military veteran who served with the U.S. Marine Corps Special Services during World War II, Miami resident Conni Gordon is also a world-famous art educator recognized since 1980 in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most prolific art teacher in the world.

This 2016-2017 season, eight professional theatre companies at the core of the local indie scene, satisfy a vast range of tastes and interests with stories that stimulate imagination, understanding, discussion and change. English-speaking audiences can become acquainted with French playwrights or young students can take their first step in a life-long appreciation of theatre. Homegrown plays, lauded nationally and abroad, are presented by some companies while others play cultural ambassadors and tour their offerings inside and outside the province. Fact-based productions bring Canadian history to vivid life or delve into stories of other countries and cultures. Theatre-goers will experience characters' challenges and triumphs, embark on spiritual, emotional and historical journeys, see life through the eyes of the disenfranchised and the persecuted, or explore issues of sexuality, freedom, and power. Although the calendar tells us we're still in the spring season, things are quickly heating up in Nashville - theatrically speaking - and theater-goers have a plethora of shows coming up from which to choose, including some summer musicals that are sure to set feet a-tapping and a classic drama that's sure to provoke more thought and discussion than perhaps ever before.

The legendary Martha Graham Dance Company (MGDC) will kick off its 90th Anniversary year in a seven-show engagement at Jacob's Pillow's historic Ted Shawn Theatre, August 26-30. South Coast Repertory's 2015-16 season will take audiences- theatrically speaking-from Brighton, England, in the swinging '60s (Richard Bean's One Man, Two Guvnors) to 18th-century Austria (Peter Shaffer's Amadeus) to the American Wild West (Beth Henley's Abundance). In addition, the season will delve into the lives of artist Mark Rothko (Red by John Logan) and writer Sandra Tsing Loh (in her adaptation of her memoir, The Madwoman in the Volvo).

An original manuscript with accompanying sketches by Dr. Seuss, aka Ted Geisel, which was discovered in the La Jolla, California home of the late beloved children's author will be published by Random House Children's Books, it was announced today by Barbara Marcus, President & Publisher, and Susan Brandt, President, Licensing and Marketing, Dr.Seuss Enterprises, L.P. WHAT PET SHOULD I GET? will be published on July 28, 2015.

During the final month of the popular Smithsonian exhibition What's Up, Doc? The Animation Art of Chuck Jones -- closing Monday, January 19 -- Museum of the Moving Image will be celebrating animation in its galleries, theaters, and classrooms. In conjunction with the Chuck Jones exhibition, this holiday period, the Museum is presenting daily screenings of classic Chuck Jones cartoons and "Stop Motion Shapes," family animation workshops inspired by the legendary animator. In addition, the Museum will present the contemporary animated features Coraline (in 3-D), Ratatouille, Toy Story 2, The Wind Rises, and others.
