Kevin Reilly will join Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. as president of TBS and TNT and chief creative officer for Turner Entertainment, it was announced today by David Levy, president of Turner Broadcasting. Reilly, who most recently served as chairman of entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX), will be responsible for overseeing and leading the TNT and TBS networks and brands, including all content development; business affairs and production; marketing, brand and creative services; digital platforms; and program scheduling, planning and content-monetization strategies.

The New York City Medical Examiner's Office has revealed that late comedian Joan Rivers died from complications due to surgery on September 4, 2014.

Melissa Rivers has issued a statement this morning regarding the condition of her mother, comedian Joan Rivers, who was brought out of a medically induced coma yesterday.

On September 19, 20 and 21, the Houston Symphony will kick off its 101st season of classical subscription concerts, the first with Andres Orozco-Estrada as Music Director, in a performance of Rachmaninoff's deeply romantic Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring renowned pianist Andre Watts making his Houston return. Just in from the NY Daily News, Joan Rivers is being brought out of the medically induced coma that she has been in since Thursday. The paper reports that the process could take until Tuesday, and that the full extent of whether or not Rivers has suffered a loss of cognitive or physical function is not yet known.

Reports this weekend have confirmed that there has been no progress for Joan Rivers, who is said to still be in a medically induced coma and fully dependent on life support machines. While Mt. Sinai hospital has not issued any updates on the legendary comedian's status, daughter Melissa did issue a Sunday statement that 'Thank you for your continued love and support. We are keeping our fingers crossed'.

Fort Lauderdale will be only the second city in the country to receive the production How I Stepped Out as a Transvestite from BLUNDERLAND by Rufus Cadigan, performing November 19-22. Blunderland received its world premiere in June, 2013 during the annual Columbus Pride Celebration. Blunderland is a true story based on the life of Rev. William Carlson (1935-2012). Mr. Cadigan and Mr. Carlson became friends around 1994 when they were both parishioners at St. Chad's Episcopal Church in Loves Park, Illinois. Mr. Cadigan remembers him as a kind, warm gentleman filled with joy and humor.

We are sad to report the news that Joan Rivers died at 1:17pm this afternoon, at 81 years old. Rivers was undergoing a procedure on her vocal cords last Thursday, during which she stopped breathing. She was quickly rushed to Mount Sinai hospital in New York City, where she was admitted in critical condition, and later upgraded to stable as she was put into a medically induced coma and put on life support.

UPDATE: According to new reports, Joan Rivers is now in stable condition. Her daughter said in a statement late today, Thursday, August 28: 'I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother. She is resting comfortably and is with our family. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.'
