Dr. Bradley Jones returns to Don't Tell Mama on July 26th with an encore performance of Dr. Bradley's Fabulous Functional Narcissism: The Solo Show. The hilarious and moving coming-of-age story chronicles Jones' childhood as a budding theater queen, ten years on Broadway in A Chorus Line, right through the present and his successful, post -Broadway career as a psychoanalyst in New York City. The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces the cast for its upcoming production of Blues in the Night.  Conceived and directed by Sheldon Epps, the production will feature Yvette Cason (Shout Sister Shout, Broadway and film versions of Dreamgirls), Bryce Charles (The Book of Mormon, ABC's "Black-ish"), Paulette Ivory (Disney's Aida and the West End premieres of The Lion King and Blues in the Night) and Chester Gregory (Broadway's Motown: The Musical, Hairspray and  Sister Act).  Blues in the Night will begin performances April 27 through May 20 in the Lovelace Studio Theater.

A new play based on the fiction of Nobel Prize-winning writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, NO ONE WRITES TO THE COLONEL ( El Colonel No Tiene Quien Le Escriba ) will be given its world premiere production by New York City's celebrated repertory company, REPERTORIO ESPANOL (138 E. 27 St.).

EL COLONEL NO TIENE QUIEN LE ESCRIBA ( No One Writes to the Colonel ), a world premiere play based on the fiction of the Nobel Prize winning Colombian novelist Gabriel Garc a M rquez, will debut this winter at Repertorio Espa ol (138 E. 27 St. in Manhattan) with previews beginning February 23 prior to an official press opening on February 27, it has been announced by Robert Federico, Executive Producer of Repertorio Espa ol, which is now celebrating its 50th season as one of Off-Broadway's longest-running, continuous theatres, and the ONLY company that presents Spanish-language/English translated (simultext) plays in NYC.

Tenri Cultural Institute presents the world premiere of Emily Bront Through Life and Death, A Chainless Soul, a poetic mono-opera in one act based on selected poems of Emily Bront by composer Akemi Naito on Friday, January 5th and Saturday, January 6th at 8pm. Honoring the 200th Anniversary of the birth of Emily Bront in 2018, this mono-opera is a collaborative work with mezzo-soprano Jessica Bowers, pianist Marilyn Nonken, actor Robert Ian Mackenzie, and visual artist Toshihiro Sakuma, whose Healing exhibition will be on view.

This summer, SF Ballet will return to Festival Napa Valley for one performance only on Friday, July 21, 2017, accompanied by members of the SF Ballet Orchestra.
