The Ruckus Theater is making some noise by producing a world-premiere musical during its second season in Chicago: Escape from the Haltsburg Boys Choir, book by Aaron Dean, music by Jason Rico, lyrics by Aaron Dean and Jason Rico, directed by Tympanic Theatre Artistic Director Daniel Caffrey. Led by an ensemble cast of twelve, Escape... is a coming-of-age story in the tradition of The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, The Chocolate War and, most closely, Stand By Me. Escape from the Haltsburg Boys Choir-workshopped by The Ruckus in June 2010-is performed at The Side Project Theatre (1439 W Jarvis Ave) and will close January 30, 2011.

The Nora Theatre Company opens their season with a revival of Eugene O'Neill's enduring masterpiece, A Moon for the Misbegotten. Directed by Richard McElvain, A Moon for the Misbegotten plays at Central Square Theater from Thursday, October 7th through Sunday, November 7th. The press performance is scheduled for Sunday, October 10 at 2 PM.

Reprise Theatre Company presents two one-night only special events: An Evening with Sutton Foster for one performance only on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 8:00 pm, and Betty Buckley in Concert with Seth Rudetsky on Monday, February 21,2011 at 8:00pm.
