As the Broadway run of Danai Gurira's groundbreaking drama comes to an end, the three Tony-nominated women offer their thoughts.

Playwright Danai Gurira and director Liesl Tommy joined the cast of Broadway's Eclipsed tonight where she surprised the audience during the curtain call and announced plans for Carole Shorenstein Hays to bring the Tony Award-nominated play to the Curran for a limited engagement next spring. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, the most iconic leader in the U.S. House of Representatives, along with Wally Hays (Deputy Director of the Curran) were there for the announcement and dedicated the evening's performance to two of the abducted and still missing 218 schoolgirls of Chikbok, Northern Nigeria, and abducted girls all around the world, as part of the show's ongoing series of dedications that was launched by U2 lead singer Bono and Ms. Gurira last month.

Today, the talented designer speaks exclusively with BWW about the unique challenges and innovations involved in designing both costumes and sets for Danai Gurira's Tony nominated play.

The Tony-nominated playwright addresses the emerging female artists who will follow her.

Clint Ramos has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Play for ECLIPSED. He also served as scenic designer for the production.

Just yesterday, Eclipsed playwright and star of 'The Walking Dead' Danai Gurira appeared onstage for a special curtain call at today's matinee of Eclipsed to dedicate the performance to Amina Ali, the Nigerian schoolgirl who escaped and was rescued from the Boko Haram late yesterday after 764 days in captivity.

ECLIPSED marks Saycon Sengbloh's eighth Broadway production, and yet it is the first time that she's gotten to show what she's got in a non-musical role. Well now she has earned a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for her portrayal of 'Wife #1' and she couldn't be more thrilled about it!

On May 4, the nominees flocked to the Paramount Hotel, where they met with the press for the first time since getting the big news. Yesterday, April 30th, 2016, Bono joined the cast of ECLIPSED onstage after the matinee performance to begin a new tradition at the show. From here on out, each performance will be dedicated to two of the 219 schoolgirls who were abducted in Nigeria two years ago. Watch the coverage of their moving tribute here.

On Friday, April 15, 2016, the Broadway play ECLIPSED by Danai Gurira - a story about the navigation of five women through the vicious Liberian civil war - observed a moment of silence during the curtain call to honor of the hundreds of missing girls who, in 2014 were abducted by members of Boko Haram, a terrorist group, at the Chibok school in Northern Nigeria: #BringBackOurGirls.

Born on February 14th, the actor/playwright is asking people to dedicate the 14th of every month to making people aware of everyday atrocities against girls.
