The production will be conducted by MasterVoices' Artistic Director Ted Sperling and will feature previously announced stars Kelli O'Hara, Bill Irwin, Lauren Worsham, Christopher Fitzgerald - with Jonathan Freeman, Chris Sullivan, and Jeffrey Schecter just joining the lineup - alongside 130 singers of MasterVoices, with Orchestra of St. Luke's.

As previously announced, MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale), closes its 75th anniversary season with Victor Herbert's Babes in Toyland on April 27, 2017 at 7pm at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall (57th Street and 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10019).

In celebration of his 80th birthday year, esteemed American composer Philip Glass has been appointed to hold the Richard and Barbara Debs Composer's Chair at Carnegie Hall for the 2017-2018 season. The yearlong residency will present performances that feature both Glass classics and premieres: American Composers Orchestra dedicates a program to composers inspired by Glass; the Philip Glass Ensemble and the San Francisco Girls Chorus perform his groundbreaking but rarely performed masterpiece, Music with Changing Parts, as part of the citywide festival The '60s: The Years that Changed America; notable premieres include a string quartet for the JACK Quartet and arrangements by composer Nico Muhly of lesser-known Glass songs-both Carnegie Hall commissions; additionally, the Louisiana Philharmonic andPacific Symphony both make their Carnegie Hall debuts in programs selected, in part, by Glass in response to invitations extended to U.S. orchestras to submit programs that place important works by the composer in illuminating contexts. Due to popular pre-sale demand, Aurora Theatre Company announces that it will add an additional week of performances for THE REAL THING, Tom Stoppard's (The Coast of Utopia, Arcadia, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead) timeless comedy about an all-too-witty playwright who succumbs to the emotional ravages he puts his characters through. Timothy Near ("Master Harold"…and the boys) returns to Aurora to helm this Tony Award-winner for Best Play (1984) and Best Revival of a Play (2000), featuring Elijah Alexander, Liz Sklar, Carrie Paff (This Is How It Goes, A Delicate Balance, Collapse),Tommy Gorrebeeck (The Monster-Builder, The Eccentricities of a Nightingale), Seann Gallagher, and Emily Radosevich. THE REAL THING now plays through March 5th (added performances: Tuesday, February 28, 7pm; Wednesday, March 1, 8pm; Thursday, March 2, 8pm; Friday, March 3, 8pm; Saturday, March 4, 8pm; Sunday, March 5, 2pm, 7pm) at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley. MR. BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY by Anne Washburn, featuring a score by Michael Friedman with lyrics by Anne Washburn, will be directed by Theodore Swetz and co-produced with UMKC Theatre at Unicorn Theatre this December.

Mr. Burns, a post-electric play asks us to imagine what will happen to humanity after the apocalypse. This imaginative dark comedy follows a new civilization of survivors as they band together to build a community from the rubble of the world we now know. Jump into a wild future where The Simpsonsand the pop culture of today becomes the mythology of tomorrow in this unexpected, musical love-letter to the power of live theatre.

Diabolique Magazine's Editor-in-Chief, Max Weinstein, and Managing Editor, Joe Yanick, will write, direct, and produce Hammer Chords: Hammer Horror's Shocking Scores, a 10-20 minute featurette that will explore the soundtracks/scores of the films covered in Hammer Horror: The Warner Bros Years.

A pack of wolves in a jungle located in India raise a little boy with his pals: a bear and a black panther. The boy's adventures include fighting a tiger, being abducted by monkeys, and returning to the human village. This wonderful tale is based on "The Jungle Book," a collection of stories by English author Rudyard Kipling, and provides the basis for "Mowgli," a full-length ballet performed by the Roxey Ballet.

George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced that a new musical, Ernest Shackleton Loves Me, will close their current season, bowing tonight, April 22 and running through May 17, 2015.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, BRITANNIA WAVES THE RULES has pulled out of the 2015 Brits Off Broadway festival at 59E59 Theaters. Replacing the show is Godlight Theatre Company's production of COOL HAND LUKE, an adaptation of Donn Pearce's searing novel. This production is not part of Brits Off Broadway. COOL HAND LUKE is adapted for the stage by Emma Reeves and directed by Joe Tantalo. COOL HAND LUKE begins performances on Tuesday, May 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 31. he Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the continuation of a summer tradition of showcasing great genre classics to beat the heat. Following the tradition of last summer's popular "Midnight Movies" series, each film in the new "Freaky Friday" series will kick off the weekend at 11pm and have the same weekly blend of mind-melting, gross-out horror as well as some rarely screened classic cult favorites in glorious 35mm, curated by Film Society programmer and Film Comment Editor Gavin Smith.
