The search is over! Following a nationwide man-hunt, casting for the highly-anticipated production, MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS is now finalized. Inspired by the ever-popular Magic Mike film franchise and conceived by the film's star Channing Tatum, MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS will feature 13 of the hottest and most talented males from around the country. Preview performances for the sizzling production will begin on Thursday, March 30 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino inside of the mythic Club Domina. The show will celebrate its official opening night on Friday, April 21.

Last night two-time Tony Award-winner Viola Davis made history as the first African-American to win an Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category. She was recognized for her role as the brilliant attorney and professor Annalise Keating on the Shonda Rhimes drama HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. In addition to her Emmy and Tonys, Davis has won three Drama Desks and three SAG Awards. For theatre lovers in our area, we always look forward to what our theatre companies have in store for us in their upcoming seasons. We look to see if there are any trends that stand out to us as audience members. We also see growth in many companies with each new season of shows. Anyone that's been following DC theatre for a while will notice how things have changed in the last twenty or thirty years. One of the biggest examples of this would be the clean up and revitalization of 14th Street, which had direct implications for Studio Theatre and Source.
