It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, inspired by the classic 1946 film starring Donna Reed and James Stewart, returns to Shakespeare & Company for a limited run this December. Adapted by Joe Landry from the original screenplay by Frances Goodrich, Albert Hackett, Frank Capra and Joe Swerling, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play reunites director Jenna Ware with the stalwart cast from our 2013 hit production, all of whom made the play one of most successful holiday shows to date! n a revival of Alice Walker's bold novel The Color Purple, the award winning musical opens The Milwaukee Rep's 2014-2015 theater season reprising the WOW in entertainment that began with Ragtime in their 60th season. Walker's Pulitzer Prize winning 1982 story arrives in a re-adaptation of the 1985 film and 2005 Broadway musical redesigned for the Quadracci Powerhouse stage featuring a superb cast, which after almost three hours, "fills the room like a sweet perfume… restoring a belief in trust and tenderness."

Box Office Opens Tomorrow for THE GLASS MENAGERIE at Broadway's Booth Theatre

Producers Jeffrey Richards and John N. Hart Jr., in association with the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), have announced that the box office will open on Thursday, August 8th for the 17-week limited engagement of the critically-acclaimed revival of The Glass Menagerie at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street) with performances beginning Thursday, September 5, 2013, and an opening night set for Thursday, September 26th. The production will star multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winner Cherry Jones as Amanda Wingfield, film and stage star Zachary Quinto as Tom, two-time Tony-nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J. Smith as Jim, the Gentleman Caller.

In just a few weeks, the beauty and magic of Shakespeare's romantic comedy Love's Labour's Lost arrives at Shakespeare & Company's Tina Packer Playhouse for a fast-paced, hilarious and moving production delivered by long-time Company artist and director Lisa Wolpe. Featuring a cast of 16 Company favorites and new-comers, Love's Labour's Lost runs now through September 1. Press Opening is tonight, June 29 at 7:30PM.
