The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell S. Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the twelfth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Thomas Mizer and Curtis Moore, tonight from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley.

Comedy Central and National Lampoon star Tommy Koenig's one man "'musicomedy' - a flashback through our times and the music that defined them - Baby Boomer Baby comes to the Herberger Theater Center from Feb. 2-26.

Waterwell announced today the revival of the Blueprint Specials, a series of lost WWII-era musicals composed principally by Broadway legend Frank Loesser to be presented in association with the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and The Public Theater's Under the Radar Festival. In the upcoming revival of Leonard Bernstein's 1953 classic, Lauren Molina plays a young woman who dreams of making it big in New York City. In reality, she's swapped the Big Apple for the Windy City to star in Tony Award-winner Mary Zimmerman's production of Wonderful Town, premiering at the Goodman this September. Though portraying an aspiring actress, Molina has already belted Sondheim on the Broadway stage and tours as one-half of a popular musical duo. This new production has been moved from the traditional setting of a fictitious Japanese village to that of a bustling little town in Renaissance Italy, the world of Michelangelo, Leonardo and Botticelli, and the home of rapid cultural exchange, scientific advancement and artistic creativity.

Neglected Musicals will present the musical classic CALAMITY JANE at Hayes Theatre Co from Wednesday 3 August. Directed by Richard Carroll, the Doris Day movie musical with legendary songs like Secret Love, The Black Hills of Dakota and The Deadwood Stage will star Virginia Gay as Calamity.

During the week of May 4th through 8th, Out of the Box, a Manhattan Equity theater company, will meet the topic of race relations head on with the production of Deep Are the Roots, a play highlighting segregation in the Deep South, post-World War II.
