The opening night party at The Frying Pan will now take place on October 23 at 7pm. (Tickets for the opening night party, on board the Frying Pan at Pier 66, are $250 or $75 for artists.)

This fall, En Garde Arts, the company founded and recently resurrected by pioneering theater producer Anne Hamburger, launches BOSSS (Big Outdoor Site-Specific Stuff), a new site-specific performance festival featuring new works by some of New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists. Hamburger has established BOSSS to give a rising generation of spirited artists a chance to 'think big' when creating new work, and to help them cultivate an audience spanning frequent theatergoers and people who rarely seek out live arts deliberately. Under her mentorship and guidance, teams of playwrights, directors, devisers, choreographers and designers are creating nine innovative works that En Garde will present throughout Hudson River Park, October 2 - 4. All performances are free of charge. (Tickets for the opening night gala, on board the Frying Pan at Pier 66, are $250 - $500.) Please see below for the lineup of artists and works.

The Casting Society of America (CSA) has revealed its first-round nominees for the 31st Annual Artios Awards across the theater, television, web series and short film categories. This year, the Television Animation category has been divided into two categories: Television Animation-Adult and Television Animation-Children. All winners will be announced at the 31st Annual Artios Awards at the height of awards season on Thursday, January 21, 2016.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Roundabout Theatre Company's 50th Anniversary Gala: 'Spring Gala 2016: Celebrating 50 Years of Extraordinary Theatre' will recognize the accomplishments of six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald and Roundabout's Chairman of the Board Thomas E. Tuft and present them with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre. The gala will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria on Monday, February 29, 2016.

The first play of ACT's 50th Anniversary Season will be packed with talent. Broadway alums and Seattle favorites Laura Griffith and Brandon O'Neill will play Maggie the Cat and Brick, one of the most iconic couples in the theatrical canon. John Aylward, a Seattle treasure who went on to make a name for himself in Hollywood with recurring roles on ER, The West Wing, and Mad Men, will play the family patriarch Big Daddy.
