MCC Theater has announced the complete cast for the newly reworked and fully re-imagined production of Carrie, the musical. Carrie features music by Michael Gore, lyrics by Dean Pitchford (Academy Award winning composer and lyricist for the original film Fame) and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (who also adapted the 1974 novel by Stephen King for the 1976 Brian DePalma film). Directed by Stafford Arima, performances for Carrie begin January 31, 2012, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC). The official opening night is set for March 1, 2012.

The dynamic program will feature the 54-member Hartt Wind Ensemble, conducted by Hartt's Director of Bands Glen Adsit, performing the Vienna Philharmonic Fanfare (Strauss), a brilliant new piece by Hartt graduate student composer Jess Turner called Rumpelstilzchen, and a world premiere of the internationally celebrated composer Chen YI called Dragon Rhyme.

Matthew White's production of Sweet Charity, which completed its sell-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory last month, will open at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 23 April 2010 with press night on 4 May and is currently booking until 8 January 2011.
