From today, June 4 to June 8, two iconic New York City institutions join to celebrate an ever evolving medium that was born more than 100 years ago-radio. For this five day festival, WNYC takes-up residence at BAM venues to reimagine some of public radio's most treasured programs as live, contemporary theatrical engagements. As the second and final leg of the ongoing series, again curated by noted film scholar Kyoko Hirano, A Tribute to Donald Richie (1924-2013), Part 2: Richie's Electric Eight: The Bold & the Daring encompasses eight films that reflect the complexity, nuance, and brilliance of Japanese society, as seen through Richie's unflinching and insatiable eye.

Fate intervened during the Monday morning rehearsal when the actor originally cast as Anatoly left the production paving the way for Larry to audition for the lead role on Tuesday morning. Director Des McAnuff (Tony award winner for Big River, Tommy and Jersey Boys) hired Larry and he became Anatoly on Wednesday morning.

This will mark the final engagement of this production. Previews began Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) with opening night scheduled for tonight, November 13, 2013 and a final performance set for Sunday, January 5, 2014. 700 Sundays is performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel and direction by Des McAnuff.

Due to the government shutdown, Ford's Theatre Society (FTS) has relocated several performances of 'The Laramie Project' to First Congregational United Church of Christ (945 G Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001) between October 9 and 15, 2013. The 2 p.m. October 13 performance of 'The Laramie Project' has been cancelled. Patrons who had purchased tickets to performances October 9 through 15 at Ford's Theatre will be contacted by their point of purchase to exchange into performances at the church. All remaining tickets for performances at the First Congregational United Church of Christ are $25.
