To launch his 2016-17 season, Kent Tritle made his conducting debut in Asia with a program of Beethoven and Bellini at South Korea's Great Mountains Music Festival and School in August, and in November led the New York premiere at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine of the recently deceased Einojuhani Rautavaara's Vigilia. Opera News, praising Tritle's “profoundly musical direction,” said, “Truly, this was a choral concert for the ages. … For those of us who love choral music, and for those of us who particularly love choral music connected to the Eastern Orthodox tradition, this concert was possibly the finest event of the 2016-17 season.”

For one night only, Frank Ferrante will perform his acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in An Evening With Groucho at Walnut Street Theatre. The performance that Variety called "a Tour de Force" will happen on the Mainstage on Monday, February 27. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) has just announced that three time Oscar- nominated, Tony nominated and Emmy & Drama Desk award winning actor Mark Ruffalo will return to Broadway to star in Arthur Miller's The Price. Ruffalo will join previously announced stars Tony Shalhoub, Jessica Hecht and Danny DeVito in a new Broadway production of Arthur Miller's The Price, directed by Steppenwolf Theatre Company co-founder, Terry Kinney.
