Showtime Orders New Docu-Series TIME OF DEATH

This fall, SHOWTIME will take an unflinching, in-depth look at some remarkable individuals facing their own imminent mortality in the documentary series TIME OF DEATH, from executive producers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz of the Magical Elves production team (Top Chef, Fashion Star, The Real L Word(R)). Cameras will follow brave, terminally ill individuals as they live out their final days, supported by family, friends, healthcare teams and hospice workers, who gently help guide the process. TIME OF DEATH is currently in post-production for a fall debut on SHOWTIME.

The Round Barn Theatre has announced its next year's season three months earlier than ever before. 'We have aggressively surveyed our subscribers and patrons since the beginning of the year to determine their choices for shows throughout the nine month season,' said Artistic Director Jeremy Littlejohn, 'We have dubbed the resulting season 'Incredible' to describe the diversity of choices that make up the 2014 season.'

Category 7 in association with La Salle Academy and Nativity Mission announces the cast and creative team for Stand-Up Tragedy, Bill Cain's searing 1991 play about a Lower East Side middle school, where an idealistic young teacher sets out to save one of his students from an abusive family and the streets. Directed by Nicholas Minas, performances begin at Nativity Church (44 2nd Avenue - between 2nd & 3rd Streets) tonight, April 12, 2013 and will continue through May 4.

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by founding partner American Express, today announced its jurors - a diverse group of 42 industry leaders, including award-winning filmmakers, writers, producers, acclaimed actors, respected journalists and entrepreneurs. The jury will be divided among the seven competitive Festival categories. The winning films, filmmakers and actors in each category will be announced at the TFF Awards Night ceremony, streamed live on TribecaFilm.com on April 25. The 2013 Festival runs from April 17 -28.

An expanded live music component with concerts by Lydia Loveless, Corey Harris, Pontiak and a Funk Rock Soul triple bill with the funky METERS, Greyboy Allstars and JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound; CIMMpathy for The Stones, celebrating The Rolling Stones' 50 years of music on film; a special film section, award ceremony and concert with maverick filmmaker Melvin Van Peebles; an evening of music and movies with the legendary Van Dyke Parks and his filmmaker son, Richard; a Blues film section; 11 World Premiere screenings; and much more highlight the 5th annual Chicago International Movies & Music Festival (CIMMfest No. 5).
