?The recipient of the 2016 Silver Ticket Award is Andy McKim, the Artistic Director of Toronto's Theatre Passe Muraille. The Silver Ticket was presented to Mr. McKim at the 37th Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, held Monday evening, June 27, at Harbourfront Centre's Concert Stage in Toronto.

After selling out its initial run, I'LL SAY SHE IS, the legendary musical comedy that was the Broadway debut of the Marx Brothers, will extend its historic revival at The Connelly Theater through July 3.

?The League of Chicago Theatres will host a speaking engagement and book signing event with John Breglio for his new book I WANNA BE A PRODUCER: How to Make a Killing on Broadway…or Get Killed on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Goodman in the Owen Theatre, 170 N. Dearborn St.  The event will include a speaking engagement at 7:00pm, followed by a reception and book signing. 

The 70th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 12th at 8/9c hosted by James Corden. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. I'LL SAY SHE IS, the legendary musical comedy that was the Broadway debut of the Marx Brothers, originally opened 92 years ago today -- on May 19, 1924 at the 875-seat Casino Theatre on Broadway at 39th Street. It played for 313 performances before being lost to history. Thanks to Grouch Marx enthusiast Noah Diamond, I'LL SAY SHE IS will return to the stage in a historic new production at The Connelly Theater beginning previews May 28.

Acclaimed producer John Breglio will be discussing his new book, I Wanna Be A Producer: How To Make a Killing on Broadway... or Get Killed at Drama Book Shop, 250 W. 40th St. on Monday, May 23rd at 5:00pm. Joining John in conversation will be fellow producer Barry Weissler.
